After watching Eurovision 2011 in Dusseldorf, Germany. I voted for quite a few people to hopefully win, and Eric Saade was one of them, back then he sung "Popular" and I had a feeling I was going to like Sweden's entry. With the likes of Basshunter, September, Swedish House Mafia and most recently, Ola Svensson, I am looking forward to see how Eric Saade performs on the chart. He has been signed to All Around the World Records, who has a number of European artists such as Inna, Alexandra Stan and Sak Noel. With promoting and radio and music channel play I can so see this song being big, but I am wondering if he can manage to get on the UK charts... we'll just have to wait and see.

Eric Saade used to be in a boy band called What's Up!, they gain moderate success in Sweden including providing the vocals for the Disney channel's film Camp Rock for Sweden, changing the lyrics to Swedish and dubbing the voices of various cast members in the film. They've been going since 2007 and they are still going today. They have only released two singles before Eric Saade left to pursue a solo career. In the case of J-Son, real name Julimar Neponuceno, was originally born in Brazil, but moved to Sweden when he was 5 years old. He is a new rapper and if this song is a hit here in the UK, then he has a big chance at doing well here, since rap seems to be in lately, but with so many artists going down a similar route, it will be difficult for J-Son to make a name for himself.

The song was written by Eric Saade, Jason Gill, Robin Fredriksson and Julimar Santos (J-Son). I'm happy that Eric Saade is also a songwriter I always think it is great if an artist sings their own songs because that way they can show who they really are, and what's gone on in their life. However this song does come across a little cocky especially "do it like I do" and "because I'm the king of my own life". I do agree with what he is saying, you do make your own life, and although some people push you to follow a certain path, there comes a point when your own decisions should be yours and no one else's, you should make your own mind up on things rather than letting others choose for you, otherwise you'll have to face the consequences even though it wasn't your fault.

I really like this song, it's not your typical Swedish dance song, and I think that what draws my attention to it. I think it was difficult to come up with ideas for this music video as the lyrics don't give enough away to create a narrative, and in theory, I think this music video is pretty good considering the song, as it they both coincide nicely.

First up, I like the use of the plane, the plane could represent a heart therefore putting it up in the air. Also Eric Saade creates a heart using his hands at one point, he does this frequently, and it is something a lot of people have been doing recently. I think it's funny how in about a decades time we'll come across music videos such as this one where "hand hearts" are used and we'll all burst out laughing, remembering that that was the "in" thing to do back then.

All the other bits such as the driving the car and the party, could be considered irrelevant, even though they are prominent in the video they don't link in that well with the song. I like the fact that Eric Saade comes across quite arrogant, which links in perfectly with the song. Do I believe he is conceited in real life? Maybe a little bit, but he did thank everyone who voted for him to win Eurovision 2011, so I think he's in between.

Overall I feel like this song is going to turn out to be one of my favourites if I listen to it a few more times, the music video has some good cross-references. It doesn't stand out from the crowd, but it links well with the song. I hope Eric Saade becomes the next big Swedish artist, as I'm interested in where his career might take him.

The Wanted is a five piece pop band consisting of Max George, Jay McGuiness, Siva Kaneswaren, Tom Parker and Nathan Sykes. They have released a number of singles including their most recent single "Glad You Came" which got to number one here in the UK. Now they have released their second single from their second album and it's made by the same team. It managed to get to number two on the chart last week, with the help of a performance on the X Factor. I haven't been too sure of what to make of this song and it's music video, I feel that it doesn't suit it as well as it could, but we'll see.

This song was written by Steve Mac, Wayne Hector and Ed Drewett, who also wrote the song "Glad You Came". This would have helped them to gain the number 2 on the UK chart. But I don't think the song is as good as "Glad You Came", maybe it's just me because I think Glad You Came actually means something else that's actually making me laugh right this minute, whereas this one has no hidden meanings as far as I can tell. The song is about being in the start of a relationship and they both really like one another so much so that every touch tingles and when their lips touch it's like "playing with lightning".

The Wanted must have enjoyed making this music video, they looked like they had a lot of fun. Although there is little narrative, it is also enjoyable to watch, with eye-candy for both guys and girls, yet again. There is some bits where people can laugh at such as the smoke bomb that is thrown into the car. Although what it has to do with the song I haven't got a clue.

There is a only a few things that link in with the song such as when you see people kissing, which indicates "When your lips touch mine", but there is a lot that doesn't link such as the fireworks... The song is about lightning not fireworks... And those lights around The Wanted, I presume they're supposed to reference lightning but not everyone is going to see the links.

Overall I really like the song and it will become more and more catchy the more times I hear it, but the music video isn't one to make you go WOW. It doesn't reflect the song very well, and definitely could have been a lot better. Maybe I was expecting too much after the "Glad You Came" music video.

Frixion is a new boy band on the block, but will they succeed or will they fail? That is the question. This is their first singles and it's been released already, however it has not charted, leaving us thinking failure could be on the edges. However I think if they promoted themselves enough they would be the next big things. The band consists of 3 members who are David Stanton, Neil Painter and Johnny Wright. Each band member comes from a different place, Birmingham, Blackpool and London, and they are all apparently over 6 foot, according to their facebook page. The music channels are in favour of this music video as they play it quite a few times when I'm watching them, hence why I'm doing this review today. Is there a place for them here in the UK? I'm not too sure, we'll just have to sit back and check they may do well but they need to go more commercial and do a lot more promoting otherwise they will fail.

This song is very catchy, as much I hate to admit it, I do actually like this song, but I bet if I hear it a few more times, I'll get bored by it. I'm not usually into this sort of music, and it's going to be difficult for this band to break into the UK singles chart, will they be able to do it? I don't know, we'll just have to wait and see I guess.

The music video is kind of, hmmm..... I like it and then I don't, there's not much of a storyline and I don't really get the whole robot (mechanic) thing. So let me work through this.... David, Neil and Johnny are all robots, and they are missing body parts. These three girls are mechanics and they're here to fix them up. But in doing so it makes these three guys "under the influence" of these girls? I sort of get it, but it is very different and pretty complicated at times. I don't think everyone would understand it.

I have to say this... One of the girls looks a little like Erin Karpluk (I know her as Erica Strange in Being Erica, but she has been in a lot of different films and TV series). I know it's not but she definitely looks like a younger version of her at least. This music video also features a place where Britney Spears filmed "Criminal", so I presume this could be considered interesting.

The lyrics/word/pictures that is used during which the three guys are singing together is a little over the top, it makes it seem like they are trying to interest kids with their music video, especially with all the "Yeah"'s and the drums.

Overall I'm not at all sure what to make of this music video, I presume it's okay for their first music video, and probably is better than other artist's first music videos. I like the fact that there is three girls rather than just the one, because each of the guys could have their own girl, unlike One Direction's "What Makes You Beautiful". However I kind of started talking about little minor bits, and so it makes me think that my attention was lost, therefore I think my rating is pretty fair.

I have been obsessed with Billie Piper since she released her first music video way back in 1998, now, after draining her music career down the plug, she is now into acting and she's most notable for playing Rose Tyler, the doctor's companion in the revised series of Doctor Who. I have to admit this song is probably my favourite from her, it's one of her most up-beat singles that have amazing choreography. This song is very reminiscent of the late 90's early 00's. And it's very early Britney, in the choreography and the song, and to be honest some people thought Billie Piper could have been the UK's answer to Britney, and it's a shame that she has given music up altogether, I know that if she did comeback, even for one album and a few singles, it would be the most hyped up comeback of the past decade, beating the likes of The Stone Roses, Steps and probably Take That too.

Day & Night was written by Billie Piper, Eliot Kennedy, Mark Cawley, Mike Percy and Tim Lever. I like it when the artist also gets writing credits, it suggests he or she can put emotion and interest into the song and it possibly helps to get the single higher in the UK chart. Mike Percy and Tim Lever are best known as being in a band called Dead or Alive (known for their single "You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)" and their lead vocalist Pete Burns). Although I could not see Dead or Alive singing this song at all.

This music video doesn't link in with the song at all, it doesn't have a narrative, and I think this is the one problem with this music video that I can come up with. I like everything else though. At the start when she enters that really weird club (seriously who would want to go there if it's so secluded and empty?), she is wearing something that people think is similar to what Rose Tyler from Doctor Who would wear and to be honest I think I agree. I'm quite surprised that a few of Billie's music videos have links with Doctor Who, like "Because We Want To", which suggests she was destined to be the companion.

I really like the dance choreography, it is very early 2000's and she is a really good dancer. I also like the washing powder bit where she spins and lets the washing powder spread everywhere, I bet she was really dizzy after that. I also like how they use technology to show how she gets up on that perspex square, I think it's funny and I bet she wished she could actually jump that high.

Overall I like the song and I like the dance sequences, however there's no narrative storyline, and I think that's what lets it down compared to other music videos. I will hope for the whole of my life that she will return to music at one point, even if it is only for a short while, because I think it would be interesting in how she would fair in today's market, and I think she'd get a number one easily.

These are two artists I have never been quite sure what I think of, and this is what I find most difficult about this song, because how can 2 people that I still can't make up my mind on whether I like them or not, create this fantastic club/dance song that I can't help but sing-a-long to. Katy B, real name Kathleen "Katy" Brien, is an artist with an unusual voice, one that no other singer has, and one that, although may not be the strongest, is easy to listen to and one that you could get used to after a few constant listens. She has one of those voices that when you hear it on the radio, you know exactly who it is. Maybe she just ends up getting the wrong song choices? I'm not entirely sure, but her voice fits nicely with this song. Ms. Dynamite, real name Niomi McLean-Daley, has released a lot of songs, including her signature song "Dy-na-mi-tee" which I remember watching on "Top of the Pops" and loving the song back then. She also won a number of awards between 2002 and 2003, but she went quiet for some time. Now she is back and I'm not entirely sure I like her new music path, and it kind of made me unsure of what I think about her. This double act works really well, in my opinion, but maybe others might disagree.

Believe it or not but the writing credits for this song is: Katie Brien and Niomi McLean-Daley, which has totally shocked me, but then again has made me re-think what I think about these artists. I am very happy that this is their own song, I feel like they can put their heart and soul into it because they co-wrote it together (or they wrote their own lyrics and combined them to create the song, which is usually the case). The song is about being in a club and dancing the night away, hoping that one more song will be played every time another song finishes as they don't want to leave yet. For a little twist of fate you could imagine some DJs deciding to use this song as the penultimate song to use, which is a really clever idea, but I bet you they probably play it a few times before, but it definitely wouldn't work as the very last song, because then it would be really unfair.

I'm not entirely sure what to think about this music video, funny that since I don't know what to think about these artists either. I think they've had a lot of freedom to create this music video, since the song is simplistic in the narrative storyline, then they could experiment, and that is exactly what the backing team have done. Which can sometimes work and sometimes not work, in this case it meets it in the middle.

In this video, Katy B looks similar to Amy Studt, only Katy B does look like she's falling asleep like so many have commented on the YouTube video. She is in a club (to an extent, it kind of looks like a studio though), along with Ms. Dynamite. Various other shots picture her in various places. I don't really know why but this music video does stand out from the crowd, which is weird since many music videos are similar to this one, maybe it's just the way both the artists look? Or is it just me?

There's not a lot else to say about this to be honest. The song is currently stuck in my head and will probably be stuck for the rest of today. I don't really like some of the blurriness that has been used as part of experimenting, but these artists are still very new (or are trying to comeback in Ms. Dynamite's case), so I am looking forward to where their future lies.

Overall I should like this song or it's music video, I know this song is extremely catchy, but it's accompanying music video and both the artists, I'm not entirely sure what I think, which is weird since I rarely feel this way. The music video does link in with the song, but it has also been experimented with because the song lyrics have given a lot of leeway.
