They are literally on fire recently, Fifth Harmony are going from strength to strength with their incredible new music. The only problem I have is that their latest album is a grower; it's not something I loved on first listen like I did on their previous two albums. Regardless, their music is being leeched out to us and the more I hear it, the more I am loving it. This one is pure fire and deserves to become chart successful in countries around the world. It does have an air of Little Mix's "Touch", but that's what makes the song so great. Watch Fifth Harmony nail sexy choreography with hot male dancers, being completely fierce all the way through in this music video for "He Like That".
Fifth Harmony are a four-piece band consisting of Normani Kordei, Ally Brooke, Dinah Jane Hansen, and Lauren Jauregui. They were originally a five-piece, hence the name, but Camila Cabello left the band; as if anyone didn't already know that. They were formed on The X Factor US and are currently the most successful act from all three seasons, to date. This song is their official second single from their self-titled album. It hasn't charted that well, so far, but it is definitely a grower of a song and might be climbing up charts around the world as I type right now. It contains a sample of "Pumps And A Bump" by MC Hammer hence the long list of songwriters; who are Ammo, DallasK, Ester Dean, Dexter Ansley, Gerald Baillergeau, Ondreius Burgie, Stanley Burrell, George Clinton, Garry Shider, and David Spradley.
Directed by James Larese, the music video is very sexualised and definitely full on sweaty. It feels grungy but in such a good way that we all wish we were a part of what is going on. Sex sells at the end of the day and since the song is sexy itself, it's no surprise that they've related the visual to the song.
There is a lot of choreography going on that is both sultry and sensual. Normani Kordei totally brings it, as she usually does; totally prepared to go all out and do the most explicit of dance step; this makes it feel like an insight to the four girls' lives, just going to some underground club, rather than a fully fledged music video.
So much intricate dance sequences, including pelvic thrusts, sweaty couch caressing, and lifts that reminds us of Normani Kordei's time on Dancing With The Stars. The other girls keep up with her, though, with Ally Brooke shining, Lauren Jauregui serving face to the camera, and Dinah Jane Hansen bringing her confident class to the table too.
Overall, the video works and totally relates to the song. It has got a Britney Spears' "I'm A Slave 4 U" feel to it as many others have stated. It does deserve more credit, and the girls certainly are fierce. I just feel that they're running out of sexy music videos to do - they've literally done so many already. They recently dropped the music video for "Deliver" which I totally love and has a lot of class to it.
Not a lot of choice today for my New Release music video review; however, this one came through my email, and it's such a loving visual that I just had to review it. EDX has been building up quite the following, and I've recently been introduced to his music and he is really bringing it. This is just another deep house song that I can see myself listening to constantly for the next few weeks as the summer ends. Watch a loving couple move into a house together and go to a festival where EDX is playing in this luscious music video for "We Can't Give Up".
EDX, real name Maurizio Colella, has been going for many years, but he's starting to go viral recently. His latest singles are becoming popular and EDX is definitely a name people are becoming more and more aware of. A lot of his tracks have over a million streams on Spotify, with recent release "Feel The Rush" with five million streams. This song will no doubt gain momentum and has already racked up close to 100,000 streams - now that's what we're talking about.
Directed and edited by Jan-Philipp Behr & Marius Bohn, the music video stars a couple doing loving things together. There's a clear connection between them and it is gorgeous to watch. The characters are played by actor Mark Becher and actress Sarah Richmond.
The opening scene sees a smashed picture frame and the couple engaged in an argument. We then rewind to them moving into the house, putting the picture on the wall, and Mark Becher being a tease with the paint roller brush.
The scenes that follow are very loving, from the breakfast scene which shows a clear connection; to the outdoor scene where they clearly enjoyed their time together. Next, we see them looking at a map, as they plan their car trip to what looks like a festival.
These scenes are intercut with EDX playing at the festival, giving us performance vibes and displaying the energy we would feel at one of his shows. During a firework display, Mark Becher proposes to Sarah Richmond. We then zoom to the wedding day - I have a slight problem with this scene as he is looking way too casual to be a groom!
The ending scene sees them dancing at the wedding where he grips her arm which launches us back to the present where they are having their argument. He pulls her back, into his loving arms, and we know that this is not the end for the two of them.
Overall, this is the best EDX music video I have seen. The narrative completely relates to the song, whilst EDX gives us a taster of his shows. What more could anyone ask for? This visual deserves to go viral, and it'll be a video I'll be watching quite often. It does make me slightly jealous that I'm not in a relationship, but someone will come along for me eventually.
Here is Taylor Swift again, since it's Thursday Revisit, I thought why not do one of her country songs? I absolutely love this one and it's still a tune today. It's a shame that it didn't hit the UK, it was released before "Love Story" which was her debut here, hence why I haven't even seen this music video, that certainly has a low-budget feel to it, but Taylor Swift brings it completely for the visual. Watch Taylor Swift in her country music video where she's quite princess-like whilst still being a strong sexy performer for this visual for "Our Song".
Taylor Swift truly brought country music to the UK. She may have gone down a whole new pop route now, but we've had plenty of country songs from her charting in the UK and being played out on the radio. This wasn't one that got rotation, but it could well have been since it is extremely catchy. I love the lyrics to this song as well. She is currently gearing up to release her sixth studio album, with "Look What You Made Me Do" being the lead single - which gained her first ever UK number one. "Our Song" hit number 16 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and number 30 on the Canadian Hot 100. It was written by Taylor Swift.
Directed by Trey Fanjoy, the music video is a laid-back performance piece. The first scene sees her on the phone singing the lyrics in her room - it totally gave me "Look What You Made Me Do" vibes the minute I saw it.
Then she goes out to the porch in her fairy/princess-like dress and gives us a very sweet and innocent performance. Other scenes see her lying on a bed of roses, picking at the petals, as well as a typical band scene in a white box room.
The song definitely gives me Avril Lavigne "Sk8er Boi" vibes due to the change in lyrics towards the end. The video is all right; to be fair, it could have been so much worse if Taylor Swift hadn't turned it out. She's so full of energy in this and fully gives it her all. Without that, this wouldn't have worked at all. Instead, she brought it and totally delivered.
This has literally just dropped today and it's the prequel to Mickey Taylor's seven-part film made up of music videos based on the Seven Deadly Sins. The first part has already been released and is the visual to his song "All Day" which also featured ØMC. Not only that but the whole visual is clips from the newly released adult movie "Guyspotting" by NakedSword & BlakeMason and directed by MrPam and Mickey Taylor. The song has been out since January and is undeniably catchy and easily relates to the visual. Watch the prequel to Mickey Taylor's upcoming seven-part visual of music videos; see how he and Gabriel Phoenix got together in this music video for "In The Night" featuring ØMC.
Mickey Taylor, if you don't already know from my previous music video review on "All Day", is a porn-star-turned-pop-star. He has been going down the music career path for some time now, and it's definitely working in his favour. This song is one of my favourites from him, so I'm glad there's a music video for it now. Next up will be "Ring of Fire", according to his YouTube comments, and that visual will continue on from where "All Day" left off. Featured on this track, as well as many others, is ØMC, real name John Neff, who is a Chicago-based producer who has worked with a host of stars. This song is part of his most-recent album "Midnight Palace".
Directed by MrPam and Mickey Taylor, this music video is a prequel to "All Day" and you really see how he and Gabriel Phoenix got together. I love how this is also part of film "Guyspotting", and it's clever how they've managed to use these visuals for both the music video and the film.
Actors that can be seen in the music video, apart from our two main characters, are Kayden Grey, Michael Wyatt, Billy Rock, and Matt Anders. Most of which appear in the party scene in the video.
So, according to this video, Kayden Grey is the one who introduces Mickey Taylor and Gabriel Phoenix to one another and even forced them to kiss after a bit of drinking. The small narrative is intercut with some very hot scenes of Mickey Taylor and Gabriel Phoenix getting together.
The ending is very cute and easily allows "All Day" to continue where it was left. Even though this one was filmed in Manchester and "All Day" was filmed in Brighton. The video is well thought out and I love watching it. I can't wait for the other six parts.
Demi Lovato continues to prove that she's one of the top female artists around, she brings hit after hit. She is gearing up for the release of her sixth studio album to which "Sorry Not Sorry" is the lead single. That song has been gaining momentum. As for this song, "Stone Cold" was the third and final single from her Confident album, and it didn't chart quite so well. Regardless, it's an unforgettable ballad of a song that the whole world can't get enough of. It was written by Demi Lovato, Lelah Pourkarim, and Gustaf Thörn.
Directed by Patrick Ecclesine, this music video was filmed in Park City, Utah. A pure performance visual, Demi Lovato impresses, easily showing off her emotional song and the power she has.
There's not a lot going on in this visual. The bathtub scene is incredible, with Demi Lovato fully unleashing her emotions for this song. You can really see what this song means to her. We also imagine the bath being ice cold water - or should I say stone cold water? Although, I reckon it was luke-warm water, for sure.
Then we have the snowy mountains scene, showing an uphill climb and her aloneness, which is suggestive in the song. It's a great cold music video that relates to the song well. Yet, it's Demi Lovato's amazing performance vibes that give this simple music video the incredible visual it needs.
