For anyone who knows me, you know that I currently started working at a bar/club. I work as bar support, but this song came on and it reminded me of how much of a banger it truly was back in the day! Even though I still have problems with it being the Nicole Scherzinger show, even nowadays, I have come to terms with it and so have the girls. They have also announced that they're going to reunite - which was announced on 9 October 2018, nine days after the date I've set this post back to - although details about this reunion are very small with just a new website and an Instagram page, leaving fans wondering and wondering and wondering. This song is so catchy though, it has a refreshing vibe to it as they sample a full-on club classic. Watch The Pussycat Dolls bring the sass as they dance and sing and be completely fierce in this music video for their song "Hush Hush; Hush Hush".

The Pussycat Dolls were a five-piece girl group, at this time, consisting of Nicole Scherzinger, Ashley Roberts, Jessica Sutta, Kimberly Wyatt, and Melody Thornton. This song, itself, was the last ever single release from this girl group. They split up not long after this release for various reasons - that are so not worth getting into. Personally, I never really liked the fact that the other girls hardly sang at all, and Nicole Scherzinger was the lead vocalist and sang practically every word. Regardless, she's continued her career after this and went forth to do amazingly well for herself. The other girls haven't done so badly either, with many of them having released music - some chart successful - and others have gone into other fields and done well there. It is sad when a group splits, but this one was definitely for the best. The group has had various lineups over the years, and it actually started in 1995. Whether a comeback is actually on the cards or not, is something we'll be sitting back and waiting to find out; maybe it's just another new lineup? Regardless this song is still a killer today and charted moderately well around the world. It was written by Andreas Romdhane, Josef Larossi, Ina Wroldsen, Nicole Scherzinger, Freddie Perren, and Dino Fekaris. The song samples the club classic "I Will Survive" originally sang by Gloria Gaynor.

Directed by Rich Lee, this music video really does put the spotlight on Nicole Scherzinger, which really infuriated me at the time, and many other fans. It may be a massive banger of a song, but it's more of the Nicole Scherzinger show with a group of backing dancers who also add harmonies to the track here and there. The other girls are talented in their own right, and some have managed to prove just that.

The opening scene sees the lead singer in a bubble bath, which she later emerges from as she sings the ballad-half of this song. It's when she steps through the door that the fired-up club track really hits. All five girls can be seen in a warped stair room that certainly messes with our heads but it's certainly unforgettable. Well apart from the fact that the camera focuses on Nicole Scherzinger throughout, and rarely show much of the other girls - this is the case throughout this music video, and it really isn't fair at all.

There are plenty of other scenes including a very 70's disco part when Nicole Scherzinger sings the sample of "I Will Survive" by Gloria Gaynor; there's a mirror ball and everything, definitely giving throwback vibes. There's a hell of a lot of killer choreography, which allows The Pussycat Dolls to truly shine. I love the dancehall scene with the contemporary dancing, as well as the ballroom scene that is giving us Strictly Come Dancing / Dancing With The Stars vibes.

Overall this music video is polished and brilliant to watch from start to finish. Having said that, if this was a Nicole Scherzinger music video, it would be getting five stars; but, it is not a solo music video, and this is where it fails. Actually, it can be compared to Fergie's "London Bridge" that I reviewed the other day; the other members of The Black Eyed Peas all appear in the music video and even sing some parts of the song, just like the other members of The Pussycat Dolls do in this song and music video. This really should've been Nicole Scherzinger's solo single and music video instead, it's one of The Pussycat Dolls' songs and it just isn't a girl group music video.

New Release: Krept & Konan - For Me

Something new for my New Release music video review, today, only because I'm so far behind on my blogs that I haven't got a clue what was officially released on 29 September, and this was the only one I could find and come up with. If I truly want to catch up, I'm not going to waste my time trying to find something else, so this is going have to do. To be fair, it's pretty all right, just not my sort of thing, and never has been. Krept & Konan, however, have managed to impress me with this song and their part of the visual. I kind of expected the obvious when it started, but they managed to turn it around and turn it out, and the song is pretty decent too. Watch Krept & Konan reveal how much they like their girls to go low as they parade scantily-clad girls that they want to get with, in this music video for their song "For Me".

Krept & Konan are a rap and hip-hop duo consisting of Casyo "Krept" Johnson and Karl "Konan" Wilson. They've had phenomenal success in the UK, with their debut album managing to hit number two on the UK Albums Chart. The album was preceded by their massive anthem titled "Freak Of The Week" featuring Jeremih, which charted at number nine on the UK Singles Chart. They continue to show how popular they are as their recent singles have been charting as they gear up to release two mixtapes titled 7 Days and 7 Nights. This song was written by Casyo Johnson, Karl Wilson, Eyobed Getachew, and Alastair O'Donnell.

The music video was directed by KLVDR. It is a pure performance piece with some scenes showing a potential narrative that doesn't come into play.

This duo are singing this song to the women that are being showcased in the visual. The women are there to bring the sex appeal to the music video, but I feel like it is way too much. However, if you truly look at the lyrics of the song, there could be so much worse imagery that could be displayed. It's not possible to turn this song into an exact translation music video because these lyrics are really explicit with the meaning behind the song even more so.

As the video progresses, Krept & Konan step up their game and really take the spotlight in this video, proving that they can fully give their all for the visual. They are distracted at times, although we can't really blame them, as the video gets closer to the end we focus more on the women's beautiful faces.

Overall, this could have been so much better. It's quite a forgettable music video with the song being undeniably catchy, although I don't really approve of the lyrics - each to their own. I've been battling with the decision of rating this; on one-half Krept & Konan bring it during the performance side of the video, but the profile scenes of the women are too over the top for me.

Fergie - London Bridge

It's time for my Thursday Revisit, and since Fergie has a brand new album out called "Double Dutchess", I thought I might as well revisit her debut solo music video; why not? I'm actually surprised I haven't reviewed this yet, so I am excited. Quite the surprising debut solo track, Fergie was riding the waves of The Black Eyed Peas, and the song is still iconic today! Watch Fergie in her debut solo music video where she struts around and dances provocatively whilst showcasing annoying paparazzi.

Fergie, full name Fergie Duhamel and previously Stacy Ferguson, has had an amazing career since her solo debut release. This song is still one of my jams and was extremely hot back in the day. It was released in 2006 and is probably another song, alongside "Glamorous" that my friend doesn't know - check out my review of "You Already Know" for the full story. I still love this song when my iTunes randomizer - which I have come to call it - chooses this song to play. So catchy, so much so it hit number one in Brazil, New Zealand, and the US. The song was written by Stacy Ferguson, Jamal Jones, Sean Garrett, and Mike Hartnett.

Directed by Marc Webb, the music video also features Fergie's bandmates from The Black Eyed Peas; yes, that's right, will.i.am, apl.de.ap, and Taboo all appear in the visual. It's quite the ode to London, although the visual does have many shots of Tower Bridge, which people constantly mistake for London Bridge - to be fair, Tower Bridge is much more appealing than London Bridge.

The opening scene sees a note from Fergie, inviting us to explore London with her. The note says: "2 days off from tour. Meet me in London. Fergie." It's great to see that her signature has followed through all these years and she still writes her name the same way.

There are various scenes that follow, including her being on a speedboat on The River Thames. She nails some killer choreography with her backing dancers and totally brings the sex appeal to the Queen's Guards, although she so would not be allowed to do that.

The spotlight is on her and she brings it. Even nowadays, she still knows how to bring it, so I'd love to see her live; the Double Dutchess World Tour would be something I wouldn't want to miss. She could so bring it on stage, and this song is still epic today.

She arrives at the Belgrade Gentleman's Club where she's flagged by paparazzi, totally giving a good impression of what they can be like, and what they have been like to stars in the past. There are plenty of representations of the paparazzi in music and their videos, this is just another one to add to the collection. It becomes an exact translation of the lyrics here, which we totally love.

The rest of the music video is just full of more scenes of Fergie bringing it. It's no wonder this song did well across the globe, not only is it incredibly catchy and still a jam today; but the visual is addicting completely. Fergie sure knows how to bring it! Although, if you're going to sing a song called "London Bridge", at least include the actual London Bridge in one scene, surely that's not too much to ask.

Fergie Featuring Nicki Minaj - You Already Know

If you don't already know, Fergie has released her second studio album, titled "Double Dutchess". It has been 11 years since her debut, and it's refreshing to see her versatility in her new album. I did review the whole album for CelebMix, so go and read that, please. She also released a music video for every single song on the album, wrapping it all into one video on the deluxe version, titling it as a Visual Experience. I covered each of the music videos on CelebMix too, including this one, so check out my article for this on there. This has certainly been a collaboration we've been calling for, for many years; so we're glad we have it now. It does get quite lost on the album, but on its own, it's pure fire. Watch Fergie collaborate with Nicki Minaj in this super female empowerment music video for their single "You Already Know" from Fergie's second studio album "Double Dutchess".

Fergie, full name Fergie Duhamel, is best known for being the female vocalist from The Black Eyed Peas. Many people have forgotten her awesome hits from her debut album. Some people are just too young to remember them, "Glamorous" came on in the club when I was in Dublin, and my friend didn't know the song at all; imagine my surprised face! Her new album is one of my favourites of this year, and I absolutely love every single song! This collaboration is complete fire, just as we knew it would be. It features Nicki Minaj, real name Onika Maraj, who has had a phenomenal career to date and continues to impress me in her recent collaborative music videos, she comes across classy in this one and DNCE's "Kissing Strangers", and let's not forget how she slays it in Katy Perry's "Swish Swish"! The song was written by Fergie Duhamel, William Adams (will.i.am), Onika Tanya Maraj, James Brown, and Antonio Hardy. It contains excerpts of "Think (About It)" by Lyn Collins, hence why James Brown is listed as a songwriter.

The music video is shot in black and white with Fergie and Nicki Minaj giving a full-out performance piece. There are some brilliant camera tricks with slight narrative scenes that never fully become a part of the visual.

We watch Fergie compete against herself at table tennis and chess before deciding that there are better things to be doing than competing against herself. It is pure female empowerment, and that is what Fergie wanted to show.

Both artists bring the fire when it comes to their performance pieces. Fergie impresses with the pole construction thing at the start, it's abstract and arty and just mesmerising. Her outfits are quite surprising, and kind of makes Nicki Minaj look reserved - never thought we'd ever call Nicki Minaj reserved.

Overall, it's a very arty music video, with a great concept that doesn't build anywhere. I'm still obsessed with the 3D chalk drawing that Fergie and Nicki Minaj are in during the latter's rap. And I want to explore the pole construction, I just want to walk around it and spin that central part. This is definitely unforgettable, although that's not the word I'd use for the song itself.

Sean Smith - Magic

How I totally missed this one and didn't write up about it on my blog until now, I do not know. I have been a fan of Same Difference since they auditioned on The X Factor. They have now parted ways, with Sean Smith focusing on a solo career, and he's definitely creating amazing waves already. It also helps that he looks super hot too! His new looks and fresh style surely gives him the chance to become a great male artist in the UK music industry. This is his second solo single release to date, and I can't wait to see what else he releases in the future. Watch Sean Smith looking damn right sexy alongside a gorgeous woman, who he is getting with, as he claims that she makes him want to believe in "Magic" in his second solo music video.

Sean Smith is best known as one-half of duo Same Difference alongside his sister Sarah Smith. They came third in the fourth series of The X Factor. They have had an all right career as a duo, and there are still some amazing songs I love listening to from their albums. I really wish they had released their third studio album, but I guess that is lost forever. Regardless, we have Sean Smith's solo career to fully embrace, and he surely is bringing out the hot catchy tunes! "Turn Me On" is still a favourite of mine, and this follow-up is just as good. More of a ballad-type pop song, this really shows off his incredible voice and makes me excited for more music from him. The song was written by Nalle Ahlstedt, Petri Somer, Sebastian Rejman, and Paul Oxley.

Directed by Loraa White, the music video is both narrative and performance based with Sean Smith co-starring alongside model and actress Chantelle Foreman; who plays his love interest in the visual. It's completely sexy from start to finish, with both Sean Smith and Chantelle Foreman showing off their bodily assets, although he is wearing much more clothing than she is.

There's not a whole lot going on throughout this visual. We focus mainly on Sean Smith and Chantelle Foreman getting it on; easily relating to the song throughout. Sean Smith really brings fire to the performance piece, meaning every single lyric he is singing, making all the viewers believe his words.

Sex sells, let's be honest, and Sean Smith's new look will definitely gain him attention from a wide range of people. The music video is very sexy although more of a backstory of how they met might have brought out the narrative a bit more, or maybe a shot of them in bed together to imply the magic between them. Regardless, it's a great music video for the song and highly relatable. We just want more music and more videos from Sean Smith now!

Chart Mondays: ZAYN Featuring Sia - Dusk Till Dawn

Anyone who knows me, knows I'm not a fan of ZAYN, although I really do like his collaboration with Taylor Swift, titled "I Don't Wanna Live Forever". This is another new collaboration that has only been out for a couple of weeks and he's already made it into the UK Top 10, whether he'll stay inside, who knows. I'm not so keen on this song either, but it's time for my Chart Mondays review and Sam Smith is still at number one with "Too Good At Goodbyes" and I actually think this won't be in the Top 10 for very long; it's just not that catchy. Watch ZAYN and Jemima Kirke team up to steal a case from a gang and the police, in this music video for "Dusk Till Dawn" which features Sia.

ZAYN, full name Zayn Malik, is best known for being one-fifth of boy group One Direction; well he is mainly known for being the first to leave the group and head off on a solo career. All the boys from the group are doing amazingly well as soloists on charts all over the world. This song seems to be the second single from his to-be-released second studio album, the first being "Still Got Time" which features PartyNextDoor. This one has had much more success, probably with the help of Sia fans, since Sia features on this song. Sia, full name Sia Furler, is a phenomenal singer/songwriter who has a tonne of hits to her name. She totally brings it for her songs, so it's no surprise that this has done well. The song was written by Zayn Malik, Sia Furler, and Greg Kurstin.

As for the music video, that was directed by Marc Webb. ZAYN stars alongside Jemima Kirke; again, there is no Sia in this video whatsoever, although that is definitely something we're getting used to. It's quite a dramatic video but one that isn't easy to follow.

Drawing inspiration from movies such as Casinos and Goodfellas, this music video is completely in-depth; yet, it's difficult to follow due to them trying to pack too much into a five-minute and a half clip. Actually, I think they could've focused more on the narrative than the performance piece to allow viewers to fully understand what is going on.

The opening ten seconds of the song sees flash clips of the entire video, we pretty much know what to expect before it happens - waste of ten seconds in my book. ZAYN looks inside a briefcase before shutting it up and watching Jemima Kirke outside his window. He then goes out on the street with his briefcase, where men in suits are seen to be looking for him.

ZAYN avoids them by heading down a Chinese celebratory street, where he spots Jemima Kirke; they have a longing stare at one another, before the police show up, taking ZAYN. The police take him to a warehouse, where they intimidate him before realising there are only clothes in the briefcase.

As for Jemima Kirke, it turns out she and ZAYN swapped briefcases at one point - did we all miss it? - and now she's packing and ready to escape with ZAYN when he returns. The final scene sees them deceiving both the guys in the gang and the police, leading the police straight to the gang. Yet, we never do find out what's in that briefcase.

Overall, this music video is trying to condense a film-long action-packed sequence of events into just five minutes. It seems like a tall task, yet they waste so much time such as the ten seconds at the start and the police-with-ZAYN scene that it just leaves the viewers confused about the storyline. It really isn't that easy to follow. I'm also pretty sure the song doesn't relate to the video either, so I'm really not sure what to make of it. Regardless, ZAYN deserves to go into the acting business after this music video, it certainly suits him.

Sofia Carson - Ins And Outs

Why have I not reviewed this yet? I swore I had. Clearly, I write too much for CelebMix and just presume I write reviews on the music videos I cover on there. I did cover this for CelebMix, and now it's time to review it on my blog. I love this music video and the song is definitely a grower of an anthem. It's certainly not a typical song from a Disney star, but when has that ever mattered? Music is changing and Sofia Carson has decided to be a part of that wave. This song is a fundamental part of that change. Watch Sofia Carson and Twan Kuyper explore New York together on their adorably cute date in this music video for "Ins And Outs".

Sofia Carson is best known for playing Evie in Descendants, as well as the sequel. She's also in A Cinderella Story: If The Shoe Fits and Adventures In Babysitting, the latter of which still has not been released in the UK on DVD - I am waiting for that day. She is currently working on an album, and this is her most recent release. This song just shows that she's on to something special when it comes to her music, and I am so excited to hear even more new incredible music from her. This song was written by Julia Michaels, Justin Tranter, and Jason Evigan.

As for the music video, this was directed by John-Michael Triana. It co-stars YouTuber and actor Twan Kuyper as Sofia Carson's love interest. They go on a date, where they just spend time together in the city of New York.

She's completely fashionable throughout the video, wearing three completely different outfits. The red dress is certainly my favourite. There are two performance pieces interspersed between their date, where she brings the longing fire needed for this song. It's clear she has connected to the song on a personal level.

As for the date itself, they go to an arcade and play on some of the machines before walking around Manhatten and ending up on the rooftop of her apartment. It's cute but there really isn't much of a love story apart from some connection moments. It's sweet, innocent, and completely cute.

Nick Jonas - Jealous

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this music video up until now. It's about time I get some more Nick Jonas music videos on my site. Well about time I got more male artists on my site. Anyhow, this song is beyond addicting and one you realise you're singing along to at the end. It's surprising to think that this did so well globally as it is much more of a grower of a song. The visual is beyond relatable to the track though. Watch Nick Jonas perform throughout various different scenes as it flickers from black and white to colour in this music video for "Jealous".

Nick Jonas is gearing up to release a brand new album, we presume considering he's dropped two singles recently. He continues to show that he's a brilliant male vocalist with the passionate ability to fill songs with emotion and unleash them to the world. This was his first big international hit, unless you want to count his hits with The Jonas Brothers or Nick Jonas And The Administration. This even managed to get to number two in the UK. It was written by Nick Jonas, Nolan Lambroza, and Simon Wilcox.

The music video is really classy and was directed by Peter Tunney and Ryan Pallotta. We watch TV screens which shows Nick Jonas in various scenes, doing various things such as playing the piano, performing the song, and playing football (soccer). Nick Jonas' girlfriend-at-the-time, Olivia Culpo, appears in the visual.

The opening scene sees a lot of black and white TV screens. The camera zooms into each screen showcasing what's being displayed. Sometimes the clips turn into bright colours, creating an interesting concept.

The visual easily relates to the song throughout. We watch each of the characters become jealous of the other. It works well, and it certainly keeps the audience entertained from start to finish. It has this really classy feel to it, that really helps to make Nick Jonas shine.

New Release: The Hunna - Summer

There have been so many amazing music releases today so much so, that I thought I'd be spoilt for choice for my New Release music video review. Unfortunately, all of my favourite new releases do not have a music video, as of yet. Instead, I came across this one. The Hunna appealed to me today because I remember they did a live signing with HMV a while ago. I didn't go, but I remember considering to spend my HMV points after checking them out; I decided to save them however, that little decision has made The Hunna stand out and I'm interested in what their new music and visuals are going to be like. Watch The Hunna's Ryan Potter spend time with his on-screen lover before getting into a fight in this lovely music video for their single "Summer".

The Hunna are a four-piece rock band from Hertfordshire, England, consisting of Ryan Potter, Dan Dorney, Jermaine Angin, and Jack Metcalfe. They released their first single "Bonfire" in 2015 and it all started from there. Their debut album 100 charted in the UK at number 13, which is a highly respectable chart position. They've been gaining popularity as they continue to promote, tour, and release new music. This song in itself is beyond catchy, and definitely one that will stay in your head all day. It's one of those songs I could see going viral in the next few weeks, racking it up the UK Singles Charts.

The music video was directed by Hamish Kay. It infuses summer in every way, just as the season totally finishes and we launch into autumn. The scenes are sweet and hot; they totally make me jealous since there is a clear connection between our two main characters, and I wish I had that with someone - one day I will.

The opening scene is also the ending scene, we watch the events unfold as we see how Ryan Potter goes from one extreme to the other. It works so well. The couple spend time together in various settings, making us all completely filled with envy. Yet, it's the ending that truly surprises us.

We see another guy chatting up Ryan Potter's girl. Naturally, he goes mad and punches the guy, which just ends up with Ryan being beaten up and left bleeding on the road. To be fair, he could've handled the situation much better; yet, I love how it shows that hitting a person doesn't resolve anything, and actually could lead to you being the one battered and alone.

Overall, it's a great music video concept that relates to the song perfectly. It doesn't have a performance piece, which is a shame since The Hunna is apparently a great band to see live. The fully-fledged narrative is engaging and interesting from start to finish. It does leave the question as to what happened next but apart from that, it's something I can watch again and again. This song and music video needs to go viral!

Nadine Coyle - Insatiable

Thursday Revisit had so many options today, but I decided to go with Nadine Coyle because she's totally underrated, and although this music video isn't all that great, the song is beyond catchy. It disappoints me that this didn't blow up, as it totally deserved to. The song showcases her vocals off perfectly, although she does look a little lost without the other four members of Girls Aloud. Watch Nadine Coyle perform as a solo singer in this fierce and sexy music video for her debut single "Insatiable".

Nadine Coyle recently dropped "Go To Work", hence why I'm doing her debut solo music video as this week's Thursday Revisit. She's gearing up to release an EP, which apparently has four tracks; I'm so excited, but at the same time, I want more tracks, maybe another album! She made her name known as being one-fifth of girl group Girls Aloud who were formed on Popstars: The Rivals. She was also known for being on the Irish tv version, Popstars, where she had lied about her age to get into band Six. She went solo once, but now she's back and "Go To Work" is totally brilliant! This song charted on the UK chart at number 26 and also charted in Ireland at number 20. It was written by Nadine Coyle and Guy Chambers.

Directed by Wayne Isham, the music video is a pure performance piece which relies on Nadine showing off her solo energy. She works a microphone as she performs to the viewers.

It has been edited well and I love how the background changes and her clothes change too. However, she does look lost, as if the visual is supposed to include all the band members of Girls Aloud. Regardless, Nadine sells it well.

As the video wraps up, a band is introduced behind Nadine, which makes the visual much more appealing. Her stage energy is flawless, and I'd love to see her live one day. I just hope she continues to make waves in the music industry because Nadine Coyle deserves to be to be a musical force in the charts and in music as a whole.

Heathers - Call Home

This Irish sister duo has been on form lately, so much so that I got the chance to interview them for CelebMix; it was such a great interview, that I just had to review one of their music videos today. This is their most-recent visual release; they recently released the single "Midnight Train" but there aren't any plans for a music video, according to the interview. They've had great success to date, and I am certainly loving their recent songs, this one and "Midnight Train" are pure fire. Watch Heathers unleash emotional performance vibes in this scenic music video for their single "Call Home".

Heathers are an Irish duo consisting of Ellie and Louise Macnamara. They've been going for a number of years and have released two albums to date. They went viral with the song "Forget Me Knots" which allowed them to tour in various countries around the world. They certainly have incredible voices and each song they release is worthy of being a successful international hit, all it takes is one; with vocals like this, it's only a matter of time. This song is beyond catchy and you realise that it's stuck in your head after the first listen.

The music video was directed by Crooked Gentleman Films. It's a pure performance visual, with intercutting scenes of the sea waves and other beautiful scenery.

There's not a lot going on throughout, both Louise Macnamara and Ellie Macnamara have their own scenes throughout with very small clips of them in the same visuals. This leaves a lot of chemistry missing. Regardless, they mean every single thing they are singing, pushing their energy into the music video; and it comes off perfectly.

Who wouldn't want to see Heathers live after this music video? I definitely want to be in a crowd at one of their gigs if this is what their stage presence is like. It's a great music video that really showcases these two sisters off perfectly. It relates to the song and has this serene feel to it.

I've paid money for much worse songs to support my favourite artists, and I so would've paid money for this extremely gorgeous song. His vocals are just stunning, and the visual accompanies the song perfectly. This definitely excites me for the release of his album, that's for sure. Watch Jack Walton and his on-screen girlfriend in a bedroom as he expresses how he feels about her in this music video for "Kept Me Safe".

Jack Walton is best known for being on the 11th series of The X Factor where he placed 11th. He's gearing up to release his debut album, with this song and video being released as promotion for it. This song serves as a sneak peak to the album and definitely shows the adult he has become compared to his time on The X Factor. He is with The House of Nanchang, who is the music production company that he recorded with, and I presume is the record label that he'll be releasing the album with.

The music video was filmed by Brother Film Co. and displays Jack Walton and his on-screen love interest amazingly; she is played by actress Sydney Craven. If you are wondering where you may know her from, she's been in Eastenders, where she played Alexandra D'Costa; as well as Wolfblood, where she played Hannah.

Shot in black and white throughout - oh how I dislike music videos not in colour unless it represents the past, or has a proper meaning - the opening showcases Jack Walton on a bed singing his song. It's clear he is flooding the song full of emotion, even before he starts to sing; this totally means a lot to him.

The song is metaphorically about his fans and how they've stuck by him completely. The visual spins it about his on-screen girlfriend, who has kept him safe with her love. Sydney Craven comes in, showing off some kick-boxing skills, or so we presume, during her profile scenes. She enters the bed scene where they're teasing and loving; making me jealous with their sweet cuddles - I so want that.

Overall, it's cute, adorable and definitely makes me a bit jealous. One day, I'll have someone who's love will have kept me safe. Right now, I can focus on others, and it's clear that this video shines completely. Not only that but Jack Walton's performance visual shows off how genuine he really is. This totally excites me for the album because this song is pure fire!

Chart Mondays: Sam Smith - Too Good At Goodbyes

Newly released today, this visual is the music video for the song that is currently at number one in the UK. I thought I'd have the whole top ten to choose from, but Sam Smith dropped this today, which means I have to review it for Chart Mondays. I'm just not keen on Sam Smith at all... He's a good singer; actually, he's an amazing singer, it's just his music isn't to my taste. This track is another grower of a song from Sam Smith, and once I hear it more I'll probably like it a bit, just like his other songs. I just feel like it's not good enough to be a number one single, but here it is. As for the music video, it's loving and sweet. Watch Sam Smith sing his new song as we watch straight and LGBTQ+ couples embracing, showing that love is love no matter who the couples are in this music video for "Too Good At Goodbyes".

Sam Smith is one of the biggest British male artists around at the moment, he's very current, and continues to bring out chart hit after chart hit. It's great that a gay male singer is doing so well globally. It's about time that this happened, and Sam Smith continues to bring it with his music, even if it isn't to my taste. He's gearing up to release his second studio album, to which this is the first single from. It has already charted well globally. It was written by James Napier, Fiona Davies, Tor Hermansen, Mikkel Eriksen, and Sam Smith.

Directed by Luke Monaghan, this music video is a pure performance piece with snapshots of various couples who are embracing. It's cute and sweet.

There's not a lot going on. The opening scene sees Sam Smith in a studio, presumably recording this song. Then we switch over to the proper part of the visual where he can be seen in a side street, singing the song in front of a guy playing the piano.

The rest of the music video includes clips of various couples - straight couples, LGBTQ+ couples, couples of various race, and so many more. It's great to see all these couples embracing, kissing, and enjoying each other's company, possibly on the verge of saying goodbye to relate to the song. It's also great to have a video like this to the number one single as it will spread the message of love is love around the world and on TV.

Overall, it's sweet, but there's no substance to this. Sam Smith impresses with his vocals; yet, visually he doesn't reflect the song in his energy. His acting is good though and you can tell he never wants to let go of the guy he is holding. However, the video doesn't go anywhere and it only just relates to the song. I was expecting something so much better than this.

Nick Jonas Featuring Ty Dolla $ign - Bacon

I am obsessed with this song. This literally makes everything better because bacon makes everything better. Like, seriously? Nick Jonas made a song about bacon and it is incredible, let's be honest. However, I'm not so keen on Ty Dolla $ign's addition to the song, he totally fades into the background. I previously wrote up a review of his whole album "Last Year Was Complicated" that includes this song for Outlet Magazine. Watch Nick Jonas in a greasy diner singing about "Bacon" as he shares the food item with other customers in the restaurant in this music video for his song featuring Ty Dolla $ign.

Nick Jonas is best known for being one-third of The Jonas Brothers. He was also the lead singer of Nick Jonas and the Administration. He is doing amazingly well as a solo artist, bringing out brilliant hits that we all love. This song should've been an international smash and was one of my favourites from his most recent album. I just can't believe there is a song about bacon and it is amazingly catchy and always makes the day bright. The song acted as the second single from the album and barely charted anywhere. Ty Dolla $ign features on the track, his real name is Tyrone Griffin Jr. He has yet to have a solo UK chart hit but made it big over here in a collaboration with Fifth Harmony. He continues to make waves over here, so I'm sure it won't be long until he has an international hit. It was written by Nick Jonas, Tyrone Griffin Jr., Priscilla Renea, and Nolan Lambroza.

Directed by Black Coffee, the music video is a pure performance piece set in a diner as part of a subtle narrative. Nick Jonas looks like he is in his element, loving every single minute of it. Chord Overstreet appears in the visual as well.

The opening sees Nick Jonas in an American diner, which is actually Ted's Frostop vintage diner in New Orleans. The entire visual takes place here. There's bacon being served aplenty as he navigates around the diner singing, dancing, and taking selfies with his mates; as well as eating bacon - obviously.

Ty Dolla $ign appears on a TV, he does his rap in a separate scene with girls and two cars bouncing on hydraulics. It's an easily forgettable scene and you soon forget it even happened as Nick Jonas jumps back in.

Overall, the video is totally memorable because you never expect to see a music video about bacon. Nick Jonas even jumps into the kitchen and fries some bacon and serves it out. This is how much he loves bacon; for me, it looks way too crispy; I like my bacon to be just cooked, but to be fair, I'd totally go to that diner! It's a great relatable concept, but Ty Dolla $ign lets it down if you even remember that scene.

After writing up an article about this for CelebMix; it's no surprise that I'm now writing it up for my blog since it is full-on fierce and sassy. You go, Nadine! The song is one of my new favourites, even though it does bug me a bit since I'm trying my best to get a full-time job but it's not working out for me. I'd love to go to work and do a 9-5, as Nadine suggests, but no one's employing me however, that's not going to stop me from applying. We received a lot of teasers for this video, so I'm glad it's finally here with all the sass that was promised. Watch Nadine Coyle, from Girls Aloud, act confident, sassy, and fierce as she struts her way into the office in this music video for "Go To Work".

Nadine Coyle is back in the music industry and it has made my life. This new song is full on sass and I love it in every way, the music video is even better! She is best known as one-fifth of Girls Aloud, which parted ways in 2013. They were formed on Popstars: The Rivals; yet, that's not the only reality show Nadine was a part of, she originally was a part of the Irish version of Popstars, where she made it into the group Six before it was found out that she was underage. She's tried for a solo career in 2010 and did moderately. Now, she's back and if this music video is anything to go by, she's determined to put her all in it. This song was written by Sarah Thompson, Florrie Arnold, Brian Higgins, Keir MacCulloch, Kyle Mackenzie, Ben Taylor, Toby Scott, Kris Ryeland, and Nadine Coyle.

Directed by Sophia Ray, this music video is a performance piece whilst alluding to a narrative. It's well put together, and she looks amazing in her red pantsuit with the off-the-shoulders jacket.

The opening scene sees her getting out of the car and arriving inside an office building. She answers a phone call before passing the phone to one of her two assistants. She struts down the corridor, someone passes her a coffee cup which she chucks over her shoulder and glances at the line of workers.

Various typical office scenes can be seen next. They aren't doing much work, more like posing. It's definitely giving me Jennifer Lopez "Ain't Your Mama" office vibes. There's also a hot window-cleaner in the background during one scene.

Then, as the second verse kicks in, the whole thing restarts, with Nadine back in her car. Yet, the office strut scene is a bit different, she has an old brick mobile phone, and the woman passes her a martini glass instead, which she also chucks over her shoulder. I'm not sure why this one is different for, although the following scenes do show off the party side of Nadine; although the brick mobile phone throws this idea out the window.

Overall, it's a great music video, really showing off Nadine as an artist. I'm totally excited to hear her other songs and I hope music videos for them will also follow. I also reckon that this song will climb up the charts as more people listen to it, it's definitely a grower and deserves to chart inside the UK Top 100. The music video is classy and fierce, although the concept is not something I get. Regardless, she gets points for having the guy topless in the background and having water poured over him. YAS!

New Release: Bright Light Bright Light Featuring Ana Matronic - I Only Want To Please You

What the hell did I just watch? I mean, really? This is more like a music video from the past. This is totally a new release and not a Thursday revisit, I assure you. This is beyond bizarre and has an Eric Prydz "Call On Me" feel to it. This is certainly a video you only want to watch once, well it is in my case. It is typical of Bright Light Bright Light to bring a music video like this, so it's not a surprise but it's still out there. Watch Bright Light Bright Light perform with a dance troupe as Ana Matronic observes and strikes off each dancer one at a time in this music video for "I Only Want To Please You".

Bright Light Bright Light, real name Rod Thomas, is an independent singer/songwriter from Wales. He initially released singles and albums under his own name, before he adopted Bright Light Bright Light, where he has started to gain success. The name comes from the film Gremlins, where character Gizmo says those exact words (I love Gizmo so I love the name, of course). He has recently collaborated with Elton John, which certainly helped bring him more success under this name. Now, he's collaborated with Ana Matronic, real name Ana Lynch, who is best known for being the female co-lead vocalist for group Scissor Sisters. She hasn't really had much of a solo career, focusing more on presenting from radio shows to TV screens. This collaboration works so well, even if it's not something we expect. The song was written by Rod Thomas.

Directed by Rod Thomas & Matthew Canada, the music video is a pure performance visual that takes place in a dance studio. The dancers seen include Rod Thomas, Josh Weidenmiller, Charlene Kaye, Madison Eastman, Adam Santos-Coy, Frank Lombardi, and Katherine Roarty. The video is based on the 80's horror film "Murderock".

Looking more like a fitness music video, we watch these dancers attempt to please Ana Matronic. She looks like a scary adjudicator who is never pleased. There are many references to RuPaul's Drag Race, quotes that are Rod Thomas' favourites.

We laters see Ana Matronic deciding that they're not good enough and getting rid of each of them, one at a time. It's intricate and totally works with her character. At times she has a look of Alyssa Edwards about her.

The dancing is very basic, but it's typical Bright Light Bright Light choreography. Some of the dancers aren't in-sync although it's extremely subtle. It works as a music video and totally relatable to the song as they're trying to please Ana Matronic, who clearly isn't easily pleased. However, it's not something I plan on ever watching again.

Demi Lovato - La La Land

How have I not reviewed this music video yet? This is totally my jam at times, so I'm glad I'm finally getting to cover it on my Thursday Revisit; since I reviewed "Sorry Not Sorry" for my Chart Mondays review. This was the song that made me a fan of Demi Lovato, and I have followed her career ever since. The song is beyond catchy and was her first solo single release in the UK, even though "Get Back" was released previously in the US. As for the music video, it relates to the song very well, with an annoyance or two here. Watch Demi Lovato perform her song as she walks through Hollywood passing many celebrities and deciding to not conform and just be herself in this music video for "La La Land".

Demi Lovato has really come a long way since this music video. She's totally grown up, which we all know what that's like because we've grown with her. This song definitely launched her as a female solo artist in the UK and I remember buying the CD Single back then. The music video is highly memorable, and like I said, I thought I had already reviewed the visual. The song charted at number 35 in the UK, she later charted higher with future singles, but she still hasn't managed to get a number one, not yet. The song was written by Demi Lovato, Joe Jonas, Nick Jonas, and Kevin Jonas.

Directed by Brendan Malloy, the music video is a pure performance piece set in front of a slight narrative. These sort of videos were popular way back then, but they never stood the test of time and are just known as a phase in a long history of music videos. The video was used to promote the Disney Channel's sitcom, Sonny With A Chance, hence why many of the stars from the show feature in the visual; these include Allisyn Ashley Arm, Doug Brochu, Sterling Knight, Michael Kostroff, Brandon Mychal Smith, and Tiffany Thornton.

The opening scene sees Demi Lovato on a talk show, titled Rumour Has It with Benny Beverly, where she's speaking to Doug Brochu. He asks her to "tell us what it is like to be a star". We then launch into Hollywood where the track kicks in.

We see many literal translations of the lyrics, although there is one problem that everyone has; they've changed "McDonald's" to "Ronald's" in the song due to sponsorship. It's annoying as people who know the song from her album and repeated plays will recognise the change straight away. It's a shame they never changed it across all platforms.

Overall the video is interesting and engaging. There are digs at the paparazzi. There are digs at people who try to change her. Yet, she stays strong throughout it all. This is really a star's life; yet, to make it in the world you need to be original and stick to yourself, even though many people think that's not the way to go. Has Demi Lovato changed from then to now? Of course she has, but I bet you've changed since 2009. It's part of growing up where perceptions and reality change over years.

The AAA Girls Featuring Alaska Thunderfuck, Willam & Courtney Act - AAA

After interviewing Alaska Thunderfuck on CelebMix the other day, mainly about The AAA Girls North American Tour; I just had to review this music video. This is the lead single/video from their summer-released album "Access All Areas". The comedic song was produced by Sam Sparro and fits well within the album that also includes parodies and hilarious tracks that you all just need to listen to! Watch The AAA Girls, who are Alaska Thunderfuck, Willam Belli, and Courtney Act, perform their comedic song in various scenes where they ride on hoverboards, dance, and go shopping in this music video for "AAA".

The AAA Girls are a three-piece girl group consisting of RuPaul's Drag Race contestants Alaska Thunderfuck, Willam Belli, and Courtney Act. Each of them are from different seasons, Alaska Thunderfuck came joint-second on the fifth season before going on to win All Stars season two; Willam Belli was famously disqualified on the fourth season coming seventh; and, Courtney Act appeared on the sixth season coming joint-second. This is a great team-up with all three drag queens nailing the comedic songs; "Access All Areas" is certainly an album that needs a hell of a lot of credit. It's not a surprise that it's so good as it was produced by Sam Sparro. According to Alaska's interview with me, they will break up, try solo careers and then get back together for loads of money; I sure hope this isn't just a one-album-project as we want more music from The AAA Girls. They also released music videos for "A Lacefront Like This" and "Heather?".

Directed by Kain O'Keeffe, the music video is a pure performance piece. There's choreography, hoverboards, and the girls showing off their personalities. It's clear they had great fun filming this music video.

The opening scene sees the drag queens asleep, it's clearly the morning after the night before, and we sure remember those days. Marco Marco sponsored underwear can be seen on the male models before Courtney Act wakes up.

There are many sponsorships and product placement in the music video, especially from American Apparel. The visuals are bouncy and fun just like the song, with the simple choreography is completely nailed by all three members of The AAA Girls. They're exactly the sort of dance moves we learn at home so that we can do it at the same time as them.

The outdoor scene with the hoverboards looked so much fun, although Alaska did reveal that they feared for their lives since it was filmed with a drone. There is also a quick scene of them on stage performing the song, where they certainly look awesome. Oh, why do I not live in the US? I'd totally buy tickets to The AAA Girls North American Tour!

Overall, this music video is very professional whilst extremely comedic. It works completely and totally relates to the song, even literally at times. It's something I could watch again and again and again. Alaska Thunderfuck, Willam Belli, and Courtney Act fully prove that they deserve to conquer the world as a rising three-piece girl group called The AAA Girls!

Here is another YouTube Recommendation that has not only come through for me today but has made me so jealous; only because I want what these couples have, although I know I'm going to have to wait a while for it to happen to me. Regardless, this is a very adorably cute music video, and it is quite the surprising cover song from State Of Sound, something I certainly needed to hear, and I instantly loved. Watch various couples, including LGBTQ+ couples, kiss and be together in this extremely loving music video for State Of Sound's cover of Bryan Adam's song "Heaven" originally made popular by DJ Sammy & Yanou.

State Of Sound are a Swedish duo consisting of Viktor Norén and Joakim Andrén. They have released a number of singles and music videos, with "Wake Up Where You Are" being their most popular - with over 70 million streams on Spotify. They are signed to Sony Music Sweden, and went viral with their most-popular song, with it receiving airplay in a number of countries, as well as hitting some charts including the US Billboard Viral 50. They have over two million views on YouTube and are certainly gaining in popularity. I can't wait to see where their career takes them. This song is a cover of the Bryan Adams classic "Heaven", which was later covered by DJ Sammy & Yanou as "Heaven" featuring Do, which became highly popular and even charted at number one in the UK. The song was written by Bryan Adams and Jim Vallance.

This music video was directed by Marcus Storm. There's not a lot going on, it just showcases various couples on a date or just a normal day in their lives.

If this is what heaven looks like, can you please take me to my future husband now, please? I truly believe that life is great when you have a significant other who you love very much, and this video easily showcases that in every way.

They also receive extra points for including LGBTQ+ couples. It's music videos like this where they usually just keep to straight couples, so it's nice that they've included them in this video, showing a great insight into the world right now.

Overall, it is lovely to watch and does relate to the song; but it's not all that memorable and it isn't something that stands out completely. It's just a bunch of videos of couples kissing and having a good time together, clearly showing the love they have for each other. It's certainly a passionate montage, but that's all it is.

Chart Mondays: Demi Lovato - Sorry Not Sorry

Finally, this song has climbed all the way up to the UK Top 10, and about time too. Demi Lovato brings summer to the UK as it turns to Autumn with this brilliant song that is a total grower. At number one is Taylor Swift with "Look What You Made Me Do" which I reviewed last week, hence why I am reviewing this music video right now. I'm so glad I get to include it in my Chart Mondays reviews, although I am not so keen on the visual itself. Watch Demi Lovato throw a house party as she performs her song in various scenes during this music video for her song "Sorry Not Sorry".

Demi Lovato is gearing up to release her sixth studio album titled "Tell Me You Love Me". This song is the lead single from the album that will be out at the end of September. She really has come a long way in her career, from starring in Camp Rock to becoming one of many top female artists in the music industry. I seriously cannot wait to hear the album in full. She's dropped a few instant grat singles that have been pretty good. This album will definitely be a grower of an album, just like this song has been. It was written by Demi Lovato, Oak Felder, Sean Douglas, Trevor Brown, and William Zaire Simmons.

Directed by Hannah Lux Davis - there's her name again, although she hasn't really impressed me this time around - the music video showcases a Demi Lovato party. The opening scene explains that this female artist threw a house party and they recorded a music video to show what happened.

Most of the scenes show Demi Lovato performing the song, there's a bubble hot tub scene and a deck chair outdoors scene. Then there's the pool dancing where the scene includes Jamie Fox. Also appearing in the video is Paris Hilton and Wiz Khalifa, can you spot them?

The party scenes are interesting and I certainly love the kissing scene, although clearly a lot of that was cut up. The pool scene where the camera goes under the water is pretty interesting. Yet, it's the ending that really makes the impact as Demi Lovato's humour is displayed for the world to see.

This music video brings insight into Demi Lovato's life and her ability to host a pretty wild house party whilst performing for a music video at the same time. Talk about professionalism and her determinability. It's a good average music video, that's been done a few times before.
