Darren Styles - Holding On

This has to be my favourite Darren Styles music video and since I've already referenced this song in Tyler James' "Single Tear", I just couldn't not review this video.

Darren Styles, original name Darren Mew, is one of these artists who does get into the charts but not as much as he should, and thanks to some really good songs he keeps releasing again and again. He's highest charting position is number 16 with "Heartbeatz" which was a collaboration as Styles & Breeze. He deserves higher charting singles, it just looks like he might never beat that position, which is really unfortunate. "Holding On" was released in 2010, and I thought it would chart, but guess it didn't, although it is really catchy.

The music video is a narrative piece, but Darren Styles exudes this amazing performance side whenever he sings, and it's always made me wonder what he would be like to see live. I'm sure his tours are always energetic and fun.

The storyline shows Darren and his girlfriend, only Darren has received a parcel with pictures of his partner cheating on him. He goes mad and storms out of the house. He goes clubbing and catches the eye of one of the girls, she comes up to him to dance and as they are about to kiss his girlfriend pushes him, then she has shock-horror when she recognises who the girl is. We then flip to a scene where we see the photos and there is a photo of Darren's girlfriend and the person who was in the club and made a pass at him. It's quite a triangle right? A lot of people thinks it continues with a ménage à trois, and it might do that, who knows?

I like the shock ending, I didn't expect it. A lot of people are surprised that Darren Styles didn't see that picture with his partner and the girl, however it was one picture out of how many? Obviously he didn't flip through all of them he was disgusted with them. There are a few continuity errors as well, which are noticeable such as the door being open and closed at the wrong times, but apart from that I have nothing bad to say.

The song is really catchy and I'm surprised it never charted. The music video is amazing and I was so shocked the first time I ever saw it on the music channels. However the continuity errors should've been found when they were making the video and so I'm sorry but I'm knocking a star off. Apart from that it's perfect and I cannot stop watching it.

New Release: Tyler James - Single Tear

Tyler James is most notably known for being on The Voice UK. He became runner-up to Leanne Mitchell. He was best friends with Amy Winehouse before she died and he used to be signed to Island Records and released a few singles and an album, including "Foolish" that got to number 16, his highest charting single to date. Now he is back with an extremely catchy song that isn't doing as well as expected in the charts. "Single Tear" is climbing up the UK iTunes chart very slowly, however it looks like it will chart in the Top 40 this Sunday.

The music video has had mixed opinions from a lot of people. Some people get it, whereas others don't. At the end of the day, it looks like Tyler James had a good time filming it. There's a big narrative to it, that people feel gets lost, but if you watch it closely it's obvious what is going on (although watching the behind the scenes video will help too).

The narrative is simple. Tyler James' girlfriend is cheating on him and he sees a video of them together. He then decides to get his own back and takes photos and a video of him getting with a lot of girls. The final scene then shows him giving over the video and photos he just took, to his girlfriend and her lover. But I don't think he manages to hurt her as much as she hurt him.

The video is quite powerful and extremely different, it kind of reminds me of Darren Styles' video for "Holding On" as that is also about getting your own back, only with more of a twist.

This is definitely a catchy song that I'm going to be buying fairly soon, the music video is special and unique, although I can understand how some people don't get it. However since I do get it and think it's very different to what is about and clearly stands out, I can only give it this rating!

Cascada - Evacuate The Dancefloor

Cascada is a three piece band consisting of Natalie Horler, Manian (real name Manuel Reuter) and Yanou (real name Yann Peifer). They have appeared on my blog a number of times, so much so that I forget which music videos I have reviewed. This is constantly a music video I think I've already reviewed and I'm always surprised to find out I haven't. Well after today I can safely say I have. The song has featured vocals from Carlprit, real name Rudi Schwamborn, who has collaborated with a number of singers, and he is attempting a solo career.

"Evacuate The Dancefloor" was written by Manuel Reuter, Yann Peifer and Allen Eshuijs. They went straight to number one with this song, and it was pretty obvious that was going to happen as they did promote the song a lot in the UK, I remember tuning into a show and seeing Natalie Horler performing the song. A lot of people were unaware that they have released more songs, ones that are potentially just as good as this one, but there has been next to no promotion and so no one knows.

The music video has a lot of choreography that is amazing to watch, I like how there is a lot of sync work, and it really works with the song. As we are used to seeing, Natalie Horler isn't dancing, only doing a few steps with her hands. However she can dance as we see in "Au Revior".

There isn't a lot for me to comment on. Carlprit's role is small, but so crucial, I doubt it would have got to number one without his involvement.

Going back to the dancers, some of the things and tricks they perform astounds me, like the guy doing the front flip a long with that woman who does some trick with her feet and for a few seconds she looks like she is floating.

Overall a great song that is totally worth that number one spot, however there are many singles they have released that deserves that top spot too, but people don't realise. The music video is great to watch the first time around but the more you watch it the more you realise there isn't much to it.

3OH!3 Featuring Ke$ha - My First Kiss

This song was stuck in my head today, funny how I had "Blah Blah Blah" in my head yesterday, and now this. 3OH!3, as I covered yesterday, are a 2-piece band consisting of Sean Foreman and Nathaniel Motte. They used to be very popular in the UK, but in the last year or two they haven't been doing that well. They remind me a bit of LMFAO, only I prefer 3OH!3. I hope they have a good hit around the corner, they need a good comeback. Maybe another collaboration with Ke$ha would help? Who knows, but I'm hoping they don't disappear. As for Ke$ha well her real name is Kesha Sebert. It looks like an "I'll feature on your track if you feature on mine", this made me surprised, but it worked so well. Ke$ha is still going strong and I really doubt she'll disappear.

"My First Kiss" was written by Lukasz Gottwald, Sean Foreman, Nathaniel Motte and Benny Blanco. All of which have appeared on my blog a number of times. The song is about really liking a girl and having your first kiss with that person, as described by Sean Foreman. The song got to number 7 in the UK, although it should've done better!

The music video isn't the best, but it's not the worst either. It's mainly a performance piece, that looks like most of the budget went into editing. As for the narrative side, there isn't much, but they have edited it intricately.

There is a lot of explicit content, and a few surprising bits as well, that you wouldn't expect to see, how they managed to get it shown in the UK, I don't know how but they did. It relates to the song pretty well, and I like how there is no age discrimination, which is extremely clever.

However I haven't got a lot to say about it, Ke$ha's part is pretty small, and everything has a performance side to things such as the chorus bit where they have the 3OH!3 logo behind them.

The song is extremely catchy, however the video is lacking, it relates to the song but I wanted a lot more, and it's just not there. However they have tried to do their best and I don't think it's their fault for the budget they had, so they have done well considering. Hence why I'm giving it this rating.

Ke$ha Featuring 3OH!3 - Blah Blah Blah

Ke$ha, real name Kesha Sebert, has been going for a couple of years, managing to get hit singles here and there in the UK, including a number one with "We R Who We R". Her most known song has to be "TiK ToK" but she is releasing new music soon and I cannot wait to be able to listen to it and review it. 3OH!3 features on this song, who are a 2-piece band consisting of Sean Foreman and Nathaniel Motte. They have had a few hits but in recent times they have failed to make the UK chart and many other international charts, could this be the end of them? I sure hope not.

"Blah Blah Blah" was written by Kesha Sebert, Benjamin Levin, Neon Hitch and Sean Foreman. They came up with this song after arguing who talks more guys or girls. Ke$ha has definitely made her own style and still no one has jumped on to the band wagon as far as I am aware of and therefore, in doing so she is going to be untouchable. This is like nothing anyone has heard before and that is why she charts so well.

This music video is always funny to watch, it's both narrative and performance, as the bits when she flies in the air shows how crazy she actually is and you could definitely imagine you wouldn't be disappointed if you saw her live.

Since she is the main protagonist, guys are shown in a negative light as always talking and she wants them to stop. And usually they don't therefore she goes about shutting them up herself. When 3OH!3 come in they turn it around and show that girls are the ones who talk so much, but they are only there for a short time and I feel they aren't able to pass that over that well, which is exactly what Ke$ha wants, clearly she has shown that guys do talk more than girls.

I like how different the guys are that go after her, which suggests that she tends to have many admirers that she isn't happy with, many of which she probably calls "douches". She is also very bad at bowling.

Overall a very catchy song, with an accompanying music video that makes me laugh lots. The guy at the start is played by Bret Ernst. But I haven't got a clue who the other people are in the videos, so if anyone knows and can cite a source for me, I'll add their names in. I haven't got a bad thing to say about this video, and therefore have no choice but to give it this rating.

New Release: Alexandra Stan - Lemonade

Alexandra Stan hit the UK with "Mr. Saxobeat" managing to get all the way to number 3. I am definitely a big fan, not only does she look amazing but she is a great singer with very catchy songs, much like her label friend Inna. She is from Romania, who happens to be doing pretty well in the music industry so far and it can only get better for them. Her second single "Get Back (ASAP)" failed to chart as well as her first song, only managing to get to number 56. As for this song, released yesterday, there is no sign of it on the top 1000 iTunes chart. Unless there is a lot of sales within the next few days, I don't see it charting, which is definitely disappointing as this song is extremely catchy.

Written by Marcel Prodan and Andrei Nemirschi, it seems like a club hit, but it's just not being promoted, and although the music channels were playing it quite a lot before I went off to uni, it is just not enough promotion, will she just be this one hit wonder? I hope not as I don't want her to disappear, surely there is a big hit around the corner. The song has been received well across Europe, but not as well as it should.

The music video takes a different take to things, we all believed that we would have a Basshunter-like follow-through music video franchise, but guess that isn't going to happen. Although the cops do appear in this video begging to question whether there's more to this video than we first thought.

It is extremely colourful, and you can't help but enjoy watching it. Having said that they use the black and white tool, which is another little bug-bear I have, however it doesn't annoy me in this case, I think it's because it's only used in a small scene and it kind of relates to the song as well. The video manages to portray that and I like the fact that everyone is dancing and just having fun.

Overall a catchy little song that I'm going to buy tomorrow to hopefully get a few more sales for it, I hope you download it too and help it to get on the UK charts. As for the music video it relates to the song well and it's definitely a fun-filled music video filled with the sun and enjoyment the sun can bring. The only reason I'm dropping a star is because she is singing to someone in the song, and we don't have a male protagonist (really) and so it doesn't work perfectly.

Christina Aguilera Featuring Redman - Dirrty

Christina Aguilera gets my Sunday revisit. This is definitely the music video everyone links with Christina Aguilera and it will be described below as to why. She has come a long way since this video and it definitely changed the perceptions people had on her. Most recently Miley Cyrus has released a similar music video that also came to controversy. She has recently came back to the music industry with an amazing new song called "Your Body" and I cannot wait to see what the future brings. Will there be a new number one soon? Or will she be like Britney Spears, always trying to get to the top spot, and having those songs that deserves to be there, but just doesn't get there. She has collaborated with Redman, real name Reginald Noble, who was a big American rapper in the late 90's, early 00's but who never released in the UK, or just didn't chart. He has been trying to return to music for a while, will he become as big as he used to be or will he just disappear with the rest of them?

"Dirrty" was written by Christina Aguilera, Rockwilder, Balewa Muhammad, Redman and Jasper Cameron. It is unsurprising that Christina Aguilera helped to write the song, and she has definitely managed to do exactly what she wanted to do. The songwriters used "Let's Get Dirty (I Can't Get In Da Club)" by Redman as a template and it definitely works.

The music video hit controversy as Christina Aguilera wanted to change her direction dramatically. From her previous videos we had seen her as cute, young, delicate and dainty. It's not how she wanted to be perceived and usually the only way to push it aside is to go the total opposite and that is exactly what she has done. In later years it has been praised, especially by Miley Cyrus, who has done something similar with the music video for "Can't Be Tamed", which sparked controversy as young girls had been watching Hannah Montana, in which she plays a cute dainty girl, and Miley believed that isn't her and so she became the opposite.

The video has a BIG choreographed dance scene, I love these, at the end of the day you can't beat Britney Spears or Christina Aguilera's dancing, they are great dancers and it shows in all their music videos (please remember these artists are actually friends and there is only rivalry thanks to the media).

Although this video is dingy grungy and DIRRTY, it's different to what we expected from Christina Aguilera, and it made all her future videos different, and I just can't dislike this video. I was young when it first came out and didn't actually watch it, as far as I remember. Although I do remember seeing clips, I think it was on Top Of The Pops, and I think my parents turned it over because of it's content.

Overall this music video has a lot going on and very little at the same time. The song is catchy and definitely worthy of that number one in the UK. It changed the future of all Christina Aguilera music videos, and I'm sure Miley Cyrus' future music videos will be different too. I've actually found this music video the most hardest to review, and I'm glad all I have to do is give it a rating. I dropped one star because I don't think there is a lot to the narrative, but that all.

David Guetta Featuring Sia - Titanium

David Guetta, real name is Pierre David Guetta, has definitely came a long way in the last few years and he will never disappear. He has released a number of singles, many of which have appeared on my blog, and I believe I haven't given a bad rating to any of them, and this certainly isn't a video that will change it, as this video is top notch too. It's a collaboration with Sia, who was unknown internationally until after this song and Flo Rida's "Wild Ones". It has definitely pushed her into the limelight. Her actual name is Sia Furler, and I can see her releasing a lot more songs internationally and getting a lot of chart worthy hits.

"Titanium" was written by Sia Furler, David Guetta, Giorgio Tuinfort and Nick Van De Wall. Sia wrote the song for various well-known artists, Katy Perry turned it down, and so did Alicia Keys apparently. A leaked version was released online featuring vocals from Mary J. Blige. It makes you question how many artists did record vocals or were just offered it. But David Guetta decided to stick with Sia, and it was definitely worth the risk, she wasn't known in the US, and hadn't released in the UK in years (yes she had previously managed to get to number 10 back in 2000), but her version worked well and managed to get to number one in the UK.

The video is perfect, the song is about being strong and standing up for yourself as well as the inner strength and being able to release it. They have taken that way out of proportion and put it in this amazing video. HANDS UP this was the first time I had seen this video, as I'm not too keen on the song so I always skipped over it when I used to watch the music channels.

The video has a narrative that never features Sia or David Guetta (it's like it used to be for David Guetta videos). Our main protagonist is Ryan Lee who has been in a lot of films and TV shows. A lot of people have said it reminds them of Chronicle and I certainly wouldn't disagree.

We start off in a school corridor that has been wrecked with paper everywhere. Ryan Lee stands up and passes a teacher who is terrified of him, clearly he has done the damage. He walks out of the school as the police show up and the female teacher runs out and tells the police he was the one who did it. By then he is cycling home. When he gets there he finds out that it's all over the news so he gathers his things ready to run away, but the police get there before he is ready, he goes for the back door but it's locked so he uses his supernatural powers to get the keys and unlock the door. The police get inside and find the boy gone, all is left is 2 teddy bears floating in the air. The boy is later captured in the woods by the police, but he finds his inner strength and blasts them all away. The story ends on a cliff-hanger and makes you wonder whether he will be running for the rest of his life, or will he eventually find a safe place?

There are a few things that get on my nerves like him using the keys to unlock the door, why can't he use his powers to unlock the door? And the fact that the story doesn't have a proper ending, therefore leaves it open for everyone to come up with an ending, which I hate in films and TV series and in music videos, unless they follow it up with a sequel. But I just can't knock off a star for that as others like it too. This song took me some time to finally like it. But it's video is astounding and therefore I have no choice but to give it this rating.

The Wombats - Moving To New York

The Wombats have finally made my blog and it's all down to the fact that my flatmates keep playing this song and it is stuck in my head, so why not review this music video? The indie band is comprised of 3 members who are Matthew Murphy, Dan Haggis and Tord Øverland-Knudson. They have released a lot of singles so far, and this is their biggest hit in the UK, second is "Let's Dance To Joy Division" which got number 15. Their most recent singles have failed to chart well, is this the end, or will they return with a well received song? We'll have to see, but it does look like indie is on it's last legs, but that can easily be turn around.

"Moving To New York" was The Wombats first single and currently their best charting single managing to get to number 13. The song was written Matthew Murphy, which explains why he manages to connect to the song easily when he sings. The song was first released on a limited edition 7" vinyl in October 2006, but it was then re-released 1 and a bit years later in January 2008.

The music video is a real take of what goes on in the lyrics, which is expected and annoys me at times as clearly they can't think of anything good to make it stand out. I'm glad they managed to make it both performance and narrative, but it's been done in a television style, therefore we watch it as a third-viewer and in doing so we miss out on what they are like live.

The story is very steppy (not a word I know but the only word I can come up with to describe it). There is no flow and no way of describing this better. It's like they've looked at the lyrics and decided that here we will put this, and here we will put that. With nothing following that well.

Having said that I like how it's been done and it has an indie vibe, but that is all I have good to say about it. The song is ultimately catchy and is one of those songs you will still be hearing again and again in the future and you'll never be sick of it (hopefully). It's music video is lacking and just not as good as it should've been, it's a good portrayal of the lyrics but not done in the best way.

Christina Aguilera - Your Body

I can safely announce Christina Aguilera is BACK! Her most recent album "Bionic" failed miserably and it could have been the end for her, but thanks to The Voice and "Moves Like Jagger" a collaboration with Maroon 5, she realised she still had credibility, and she has definitely returned to music with a vengeance, and this is going to be her next big hit, especially since people can't stop talking about it.

"Your Body" was written by Savan Kotecha, Max Martin, Shellback and Tiffany Amber. This is definitely a great mix of writers and usually any song by these or even a combination of these people is bound to be a hit, they have appeared on my blog a lot. I am surprised that Christina Aguilera didn't help to write this song, she's an amazing song-writer, however she has connected to the song well, and she is an incredible singer and will do any song justice.

This music video can only be described as tongue-in-cheek, there is no other way of describing it as it is quite malevolent and malicious but in a humorous fun way. If people died in a fit full of colour there would definitely be a lot more deaths going on, and it will definitely be the wrong people murdering.

This video is very fun, different and definitely stands out. I like the narrative, it's unexpected and I love the message at the start "no men were harmed in the making of this video". Which, at first, worried me as I have never seen this video until today and so I wasn't entirely sure what was going to be shown.

Christina is shown as quite sensual, confident and self-assured. She doesn't take herself too seriously and she likes to show her body off to men and then kill them. But in a ball of pink smoke, or in bright blue paint, or in a spurt of pink glitter. Clearly she's leaving colour everywhere and it would definitely be a great way to go.

Overall the song is one of those that will eventually grown on me, as for the music video it's astounding and I definitely haven't got anything bad to say about it, I like how the deaths are subtly implied rather than showing us the brutal side of things. However I do believe it is more explicit than Britney Spears' "Criminal", but I doubt the UK will ban this video.

Karmin - Brokenhearted

Karmin are a duo consisting of engaged couple Amy Heideman and Nick (Louis) Noonan. They are a new duo to hit the charts and I can see them doing well in the next few years. Especially since this song managed to chart at number 6 in the UK. "Brokenhearted" was written by Karmin, John Hill, Claude Kelly, Henry Walter, Emily Wright and Richard Head. It kind of reminds me of a Nicki Minaj song and it's got the same sort of catchiness. They did well to get to the chart position in the UK for their first international single, and I'll be interested in seeing what chart positions their future singles get, I'm sure it'll be high.

This music video made me confused, I thought it was an average party music video, surprisingly after reading about it on a different website I was quite surprised to find out that there is a narrative, and the video is well constructed that you may not see it the first time. The fact that they have managed to do such a thing, as well as involve everything that is needed in a music video has definitely brought my initial rating upwards.

The video is based on how Amy and Nick first met, I like how you see 3 different times of the days, we see the present while they are rehearsing, we see what happened last night, and also the morning after and her waiting for a phone call that never comes.

We see from last night that Amy and Nick met at a party and seem to have a connection staying together all the time and having fun with one another, at the end of the night they exchange numbers. Amy then sings "See I've been waiting all day. For you to call me baby. So let's get up, let's get on it. Don't you leave me broken hearted tonight" during the chorus; and the video plays on that the next day. She is idling about waiting for a call from Nick, but she never receives one. Then in the present day while they are performing the song during rehearsals we find out at the very end that Nick is actually seeing someone and that is the reason to why he never called her.

Overall it's a catchy little song that is definitely worth the chart position it got in the UK. It's accompanying music video is definitely one of the best I've ever seen, it involves everything you need and manages to hide the narrative pretty well. I have never had to watch a music video for a 2nd time because I missed the narrative. I also like the fact that the performance is included in the narrative and that we get to see what went on in the last 2 days. I haven't got a bad thing to say about this and therefore I have no choice but to award this music video with the following rating.

Jason Mraz - I Won't Give Up

Jason Mraz is the sort of artist that you like but wouldn't go as far as buy his singles, he has released a number of songs and have quite a few hits in the UK, however some have fallen short of charting very well. He's signature song is "I'm Yours" but this song isn't too far behind. He is from Virginia in the US, and it's surprising how he has managed to hit the UK, as these sort of artists along with country artists don't even attempt to hit the UK as it usually doesn't work out well, but it looks like Jason Mraz along with other artists are setting the way for other artists of this genre to try and chart.

"I Won't Give Up" was written by Jason Mraz, Theodore Feldman and Michael Natter. The song is very emotional and it was definitely expected to be written by Jason Mraz. He manages to sing every word as if he means it, and that is exactly what you need for this song.

The music video is very symbolic, it is both performance and narrative and reminds me a lot of other music videos such as Avril Lavigne's "When You're Gone" amongst others that I can't think off the top of my head. Which means you are going to have to make the video different or it will be too similar to all the others, unfortunately this one is just the average video.

I was expecting something with this video and there isn't anything, clearly you know that a few are accepted but others have tears in their eyes which doesn't go with the video. Personally I think they must have seen Avril's video before coming up with the idea, as it is too similar, I understand that most videos are the same in one way or another but they change them so they don't look the same, but with this one they've changed it for the worse and not given us endings, leaving it up to us to decipher, which is totally not my thing.

Overall this song is so emotional, but it's video is too similar to others and there is little to no originality. They could've done so much more with this video and they haven't, and now I'm in two minds for this rating, should I be harsh or should I be kind? I have to admit it is a good way of linking to this video, but so many have done it before, and it will probably be done again and again in the future, and I don't think I can deal with seeing the same thing again and again.

Kids In Glass Houses - Matters At All

Kids In Glass Houses are definitely one of my favourite bands, I saw them live back in 2008 with Tink09 and Hollagram Star, they were the support act for Paramore and we had no idea who they were, then a couple of weeks later they released "Give Me What I Want" and we couldn't believe we had just seen them live. They are a 5 piece band consisting of Aled Phillips, Joel Fisher, Iain Mahanty, Andrew Shay and Philip Jenkins. Their latest single didn't chart very well even though I really liked it, they are one of those bands that sometimes do well and then sometimes don't, I hope they don't give up and that they manage to make a great song that will chart very high.

"Matters At All" was written by Kids In Glass Houses and Jason Perry. The song is about making things happen, the world goes by so quickly and if you don't take the chances that are sent your way you'll regret them for the rest of your life. I really like this meaning to the song and I like how it is interpreted into a music video.

The video is confusing if you see it on the music channels, as they have cut it down and it makes no sense whatsoever. I've been worried about doing this video as I never did understand it, but today was the first time I watched it on YouTube and the video is the full version which makes this much more obvious what has gone on.

Clearly the main character is a little delusional, she wants this guy and probably presumes she can have him, she totally forgets that he clearly has a girlfriend, and she imagines herself as his girlfriend. Then we get a rewind (not seen in the music channel version) and we actually see that she likes this guy but he already has a girlfriend, so clearly she is stalking him, and I think the girlfriend realises this hence why she has a fit when our main character gives her the photos. (This description would be much more clearer with names, anyone know the actor/actresses names?)

There are also scenes of a performance nature which is really great to watch and I did feel the energy from them when I saw them live, and they manage to replicate that in the performance scenes. This is what makes this video that bit better than others as they have managed to portray the band as well as the song.

This song has to be one of my favourites after "Undercover Lover", the full version of the music video is definitely a lot more clearer and a lot more interesting and understandable. Since I am reviewing the full video my rating goes out to it. If you ever manage to see this video on the music channels you'll realise it doesn't make sense.

New Release: The Other Tribe - Skirts

So I struggled a lot on picking the new release, there wasn't anything I was interested in, only Rihanna's "Diamonds" which doesn't have a music video. After much searching I read a twitter post by Aiden Grimshaw that announced he bought a single today on iTunes, and this was the song, after one listen I was instantly hooked and I have bought this single, and I agree with Aiden Grimshaw it was totally worth it!

The Other Tribe is a new band on the block, they are a six-piece band consisting of James Hill, Miles Metric, Ollie White, Alex Oldroyd, Max Cleary and Charlie Brown. They have been going since 2009 and are from Bristol, UK. Their live shows have been rated high a lot, and it seems this single will definitely be charting this Sunday, it's been climbing up the chart since yesterday and I doubt it will stop.

This music video links in with the band more than it does with the song, which is a whole different take on things and it really interests me. It's totally narrative with a bit of a performance side in certain scenes. This is definitely a video that would stand out on a music channel, and the fact that the song managed to capture me within the first listen just makes this all the more better.

The video follows a girl (actress name unknown), who wonders through the forest and finds tribal items, she then goes deeper in the forest and finds a tribe who welcomes her in. There are many sensual references, but they have done them on a small scale that people may not even see them.

Overall I have to thank Aiden Grimshaw for introducing this band to me. The song is amazingly catchy and I cannot wait to hear more from them. The music video relates to the band which is a unique twist to the common music video, and I cannot wait to see what videos are around the corner for these guys.

No Doubt Featuring Bounty Killer - Hey Baby

I reviewed No Doubt this week as a new release, and I definitely had to do one of their songs for my Sunday revisit, but I had trouble deciding which song. But looks like iTunes DJ once again chose for me as it played this song yesterday. No Doubt has recently reformed and released "Settle Down" along with a new album, they will definitely be sticking around this time and I cannot wait for more new music from them. The band consists of Gwen Stefani, Tony Kanal, Adrian Young and Tom Dumont. This song features Bounty Killer, real name Rodney Price, who has had a slightly successful career in the US, but has only ever touched the UK with this song.

"Hey Baby" was written by Gwen Stefani, Tony Kanal, Tom Dumont and Bounty Killer. It's extremely catchy and it's definitely one of those songs you expect to go straight to number one, however it just missed out grabbing the number 2 spot, being beaten by Enrique Iglesias' "Hero". They have only ever had a number one with "Don't Speak", however I expect them to top the chart once again in the future.

This music video is a typical 2001 music video, I have seen quite a few similar ones while blogging, and I have come to expect to see this sort of side to music videos, it really reminds me of Pink's "Get The Party Started".

The video is both narrative and performance and manages to link in with the song effectively. The video represents the band and what they get up to on their tour bus and while out at clubs and stuff. The events in the video are based on true events.

That does mean that Tom Dumont really did defeat a woman in a drinking game (in this scene the woman is played by Sonya Eddy). And Adrian Young actually won $200 (US) on a dare to hang upside down on gymnastic rings naked, this happened in a club in New York. The video hit controversy for that scene especially since Bounty Killer is Jamaican and it was considered an act of homosexuality, and back then and even now, Jamaica isn't as accepting of LGBT rights as other countries are.

I like the performance side of things too, it looks like it's been done many times before, but I cannot think of any video using similar effects, although I'm sure I've seen other videos that are alike.

This is an extremely catchy song that you definitely can't help but sing a long to. The music video is a typical 2000's video however it is very controversial too. I have to give it 10 out of 10 for effort, with the amount of similar videos out back then it's difficult to stand out, and this is exactly what they have managed to do. I wish the song had got to number one, but guess we can't have everything we want, but maybe a new song might top the UK chart, we lay in wait for No Doubt to finally get their 2nd UK number one.

The All-American Rejects - Walk Over Me

Yesterday I was listening to my iTunes on shuffle and this song got played twice, I believe I've already listened to it today on shuffle too, clearly iTunes wanted me to review it, so here I am, and here it is.

The All-American Rejects have been one of my favourite bands for ages, they never fail to disappoint and they are evolving better and better, I wouldn't have thought they would release a song like this, but they have and they have made it their own. They are a four-piece band consisting of Tyson Ritter, Nick Wheeler, Mike Kennerty and Chris Gaylor. They have had a number of hits and a number of songs that should have been, they are getting a bigger and bigger UK fan base and it won't be long before they are on a lot of people's playlists, in my opinion the sooner the better, this band needs to promote a lot more.

"Walk Over Me" was written by Nick Wheeler and Tyson Ritter, it is potentially their 3rd single from the amazing album Kids In The Street, the first being "Beekeeper's Daughter" and the second being "Kids In The Street". Only the first single has been released in the UK so far, with limited success, however the album is currently their highest charting album to date, so clearly they are getting more and more fans as the years go by.

This music video is the sort of video I hate. I don't know why, but it really grates on my nerves, and seriously I cannot be the only one who feels this way. I think the main thing is that it has been done so many times before that every time I see a new video using this concept I cringe away from it. However, The All-American Rejects has gone all out on it. At the end of the day if you're going to do this sort of video you HAVE to take the mickey out of it and break as many boundaries as possible with it, otherwise you will get a low rating from me. And well done, The All-American Rejects have managed to make this video good and a lot more watchable.

I cannot help but laugh at this, the fact that it's a bit scary with fish munching heads off and a knife stabbing people, makes this one of my favourite music videos in this style, if not, the best. How can you not crack a smile at this, and the fact that it looks like it was extremely difficult to make and the fact that there was obviously a lot of thought going in is exactly what I want from a video like this.

There are a few things that I'm not sure on such as there isn't an overall link, just subtle links with some of the lyrics, but they've made this video really work and I can't help but be happy that they have managed to change my opinion of this video within the first few seconds.

Overall a great song that may not be officially released but if it is I hope it does well as it clearly deserves it. The accompanying music video is not something I'm happy with, it's not a style I like to see in music videos, however The All-American Rejects has pushed the boat out and made it much more enjoyable, will I be watching more of this style of music video? Probably not, but I shall be a lot more aware of it. And I doubt I'll find a video in this style that will beat this one.

Franz Ferdinand - Take Me Out

Franz Ferdinand are another band that I both like and don't, the main reason is because they disappear for too many years and you eventually get bored of playing all their old songs and then when you give up hope on them ever returning a new amazing song pops up that you can't help but like, which is really annoying. They are a British band from Glasgow, Scotland and they consist of Alex Kapranos, Nicholas McCarthy, Robert Hardy and Paul Thomson. They are working on their fourth studio album and it is supposed to be really good. However they have been gone since 2009, and 3-4 years is too long for me to wait, I have already given up on them, however I will be blogging about them and their new songs if they are up to scratch, and I bet they will be.

"Take Me Out" was written by Alex Kapranos and Nicholas McCarthy. It is their best hit in the UK thus far managing to get to number 3 on the UK chart and just missing out on the top spot, it also did well internationally too, and it's definitely one of a few of their signature songs, but I think they will have a hit fairly soon and everyone will know who they are.

The music video isn't my sort of thing, it's very 1930's and that is exactly what the band wanted to do, so they get 10 out of 10 for effort from me. There is a lot of imagery and I definitely like how they have used things they have seen and discussed and put them all together and spun it up in their own little way. I shall not list everything they have managed to incorporate as that can be found easily on the Internet. But the fact they have managed to do exactly what they wanted to do is definitely worth the stars I'm giving the video.

The downside is that it didn't grip me, it's a typical performance piece and although it is different to what is about, there is nothing to keep me entertained and involved. I feel like I'm watching some old film at the cinema, and I cannot stop fidgeting as I wait for it to finally end.

Overall a great song that is actually worthy of the chart position, but a music video that doesn't seem to involve the audience the way it should. I am balancing out my rating as this is what the band wanted to make and they have thought about the video massively, so much so that they didn't want to make a typical pop video, and that makes it go up in my books, even though the video didn't suit me.

One Night Only - Just For Tonight

It looks like it's indie week on my blog this week, so think I'm going to stick with that genre. One Night Only is one of those bands who you don't really want to like but they seem to record songs that are irresistible for some very unknown reason. The band consisted of George Craig, Mark Hayton, Daniel Parkin, Jack Sails and Sam Ford. Since 2010 Sam Ford has left and was replaced by James Craig. They have since disappeared off the radar, but they will probably pop up again out of nowhere with a cracking new song and album, it's to be expected.

"Just For Tonight" was One Night Only's biggest hit and managed to secure a place in the UK top 10 at number 9. They have released better songs since, and I'm surprised they have yet to beat that chart position, let's hope they can in the next few years.

This music video really doesn't have much substance to it, compared to their other videos it makes you question what they thought of the song, clearly they didn't think it would do well or they would've made a much better video, this is lacking a lot and although it is a typical One Night Only music video, it's missing a lot we like from this band.

It looks like they are just strolling around Scarborough and although we have seen this happen a lot in their other videos, at least there is a hidden narrative, in this case there's nothing, it's just showing their typical strolling and that's just something I'm not interested in watching.

Overall the song isn't as catchy as their other songs, the music video that goes with it is lacking and doesn't draw me in at all, the only reason for watching this video is for the song, and maybe to find out how to stroll around Scarborough. However it's expected from this band and so it's on the way too safe side and at least it's not something worse.

Green Day - Basket Case

Green Day is another band that Miss Moirae got me into, they also have never appeared on this blog yet, surprisingly and I know for a fact that they will pop up again at some point, MARK MY WORDS. Green Day are a three-piece band consisting of Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tré Cool. They have been going since 1987 but didn't release their first album until 1990. Since then they have released a number of albums and singles but have never ever topped the UK Singles chart, but have come pretty close a number of times. They also have their own musical as well, where has this band got left to go? Clearly to the top of the UK Singles Chart, but how long will it take them?

"Basket Case" is one of these songs that never goes away and gets stuck in my head way too easily. It's a very good song to get those pesky annoying songs out of your head, although you will probably be stuck with this song for the rest of the day, which is fine by me. It was written by Billie Joe Armstrong and it's about his battles with anxiety, he thought he was going crazy however he was later diagnosed with panic disorder. Writing songs about it was the only way he could control it, and I know this sounds sinister but that is usually how great songs come about and this is definitely one of many of Green Day's signature songs and we, as fans, have a lot to thank these guys for as well as this song.

This music video always freaks me out whenever I watch it. It is a performance piece with a narrative intricately added in, which makes this music video very different as it's usually the other way around. It was filmed in an actual mental home due to the request of the band, which makes this video top notch! The institution is called Agnews Developmental Center in California.

I like how everything is constructed, you can clearly see the performance and you are worried that is all you'll going to get, but you see more as it progresses, and I like the ominous atmosphere, it's quite freakish but interesting.

Overall the song is a classic that is already embedded in history and I guarantee I will hear this song at least once a year, definitely for the rest of my life. It's music video still scares and worries me today, but the way it's been filmed and thought through makes it different and to be able to stand out from the crowd is something that is difficult to do, and even in today's market this music video stands out.

Kaiser Chiefs - Everyday I love You Less And Less

Kaiser Chiefs were the first band I ever saw live thanks to my Auntie and Uncle. I kinda had this song in my head today and decided why not review it? They are a five piece band consisting of Ricky Wilson, Andrew "Whitey" White, Simon Rix, Nick "Peanut" Baines and Nick Hodgson. They were originally called Parva and managed to release an album called "22". However they were dropped and were subsequently known as "damaged goods" and no one would touch them, so they came up with a new name which was the "Kaiser Chiefs" named after the South African football team Kaizer Chiefs F.C. They have recently released a Singles Collection which got to number 19 which is quite low compared to their previous albums. Personally I think them working with Mark Ronson was the worst possible direction they could've gone through. They used to be good, but they lost their fans with their new direction, and unfortunately failed to pick up many new fans to make the numbers up. It's going to be extremely difficult to re-capture their audience, will this be a band to disappear forever? I doubt it, they seem to have been through a lot already, and one way or another I hope they do find a way to get all their fans back.

"Everyday I Love You Less And Less" was one of a few really great songs from this band! It was written by the band (obviously) and was released on their first album as the Kaiser Chiefs. It managed to chart on the UK Chart at number 10, making it their second top ten hit the first being "Oh My God (Re-Issue)". It also managed to get to number 52 on the MegaChart in the Netherlands.

Back in 2005 I was 12 and thought this music video was great, looking back now I'm shocked I thought that, this is a good idea but it seriously hasn't worked out exactly the way it should of, clearly some bits are meant to be comical but some things just aren't.

It's both performance and narrative, and it is done intricately, but I just don't see how it pans out that well, however I would fight for those x-ray glasses, who wouldn't, right?

Overall a very catchy song that I'll never get bored of, however the accompanying music video is lacking a lot, although it does get stars for the amazing idea and the way they have managed to film it. People can see it has a realistic side to it and a comical side. It just hasn't worked perfectly.

Cannibal Corpse - Make Them Suffer

I got a request today, from my uni flatmates. To be honest I'm glad I had a request as I wasn't quite sure what music video to review today. So this exact song and music video was requested. The band is called Cannibal Corpse, they came up with the name by putting two words together and it just sort of clicked into place. They are a five-piece band from New York that consists of Alex Webster, Paul Mazurkiewicz, Rob Barrett, George Fisher and Pat O'Brien. They are definitely not my sort of music and before I moved to uni I hadn't even heard of them, however I doubt it'll be the last time they appear on here. "Make Them Suffer" was one of two tracks from the album "Kill" that got a music video.

This music video is both a narrative and a performance piece, which is always a good thing in my books. However if you are going to include a narrative, I feel that you should see more of the storyline rather than the performance, on the other hand I don't really revel in seeing someone suffer, it's just not something I enjoy, and I don't think a lot of others do either. So, in this case only, it is suitable to have more performance than narrative.

There's not a lot to this video, but there doesn't have to be, the narrative shows a guy suffering, and he can't get out of the room he is in. It doesn't seem much of a storyline, but the hidden aspects behind it is what intrigues me the most as you haven't got a clue where he is, how he got hurt so much and why he can't get out. The main question that comes up for me is who would do such a thing? And why?

The performance piece is your typical metal performance, there's nothing special about it, however you can feel the energy they produce just from watching this video and that is exactly what you want from the performance side of things.

Overall the video is pretty good, I like the fact that not too much is given away from the narrative leaving you to fill in the gaps, or just make up your own idea. The reason I'm knocking off a star is because it leaves you questioning and even just a shadow of someone coming into the room or the click of the door becoming unlocked would've made this video great, it just needed that extra something to capture you entirely.

New Release: No Doubt - Settle Down

No Doubt has to be one of the most influential bands I know, their music is something everyone has heard, and unfortunately they weren't around long enough, but then they reformed making a lot of fans extremely happy. They are a four piece band consisting of Gwen Stefani, Tony Kanal, Adrian Young and Tom Dumont. They all, funnily enough, have blonde hair in this music video, which is quite unusual. Their new song and album is amazing and I can't stop listening to them, I hope they stay together for a very long time now.

"Settle Down" was written by Gwen Stefani, Tony Kanal, Tyler McGowen and Tom Dumont. It is such a catchy song, and it's understandable why it was chosen as the first single to be released. It has charted well in a lot of countries, and it was supposed to be released in the UK last week, however it got pushed back so that it coincided with the album. Will it chart this Sunday? Who knows, I hope it does, I keep watching it crawl up and up on the iTunes chart.

This music video is really interesting. I like how it's more of a reformation and you can see how much they have missed one another. It's a performance piece, but not your usual performance piece, which makes this band stand out so much.

I like the whole idea of totally different dancing going on, it shows the versatility of this band and how they are able to sing different songs but still leave a wake in their mist. The two dance styles shown is moshing and line dancing, they are on two opposite ends of the scale (if there is a scale). And the fact that it shows that anyone can listen to this music and enjoy is something people have been trying to do for years.

My favourite bit of the video has to be when there's close ups of each of the band members as they tend to pull funny faces without even realising it, as this is much more a relaxed video than what we used to see in No Doubt videos, and that is too, something that is difficult to capture.

Overall one heck of a catchy song that I definitely cannot get out of my head, and an accompanying music video that is neat and relaxed and just works effortlessly, it's as if not much went into it, and watching it always makes me feel so much more relaxed. See music videos can effect people in strong ways.

Justice - D.A.N.C.E.

Justice has become my Sunday Revisit, I previously reviewed "We Are Your Friends" and I really, really wanted to review this music video, so I'm glad I'm getting the chance. Justice are a French band consisting of Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay. They have had a few hits, and managed to hit the UK a couple of times. But only fairly recently people have started listening to them, and with new songs coming out soon, I cannot wait to see if they chart well, I presume they will.

"D.A.N.C.E." was written by Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay, it samples Britney Spears featuring Madonna's "Me Against The Music". It also recites a lot of Michael Jackson songs such as "P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing)", "Black And White", "Workin' Day And Night", "Whatever Happens" and the Jackson 5's song "ABC". It charted at number 48 on the UK chart, which is quite low considering.

This music video is incredibly different to what is about at the moment. I don't think I've seen anything like it, however some parts do remind me of videos I have seen before, but none of them come to mind. I also didn't expect it either.

There is a lot of t-shirts, and clearly a lot of editing went into this music video, it's hard to believe that we actually don't see any heads at all, unless they sneak one in by accident. Some of the t-shirts are amazing, and it is really clever how they have done this video, I can't even describe it all that much.

There is a lot of words used in this video, which I always like as then I don't have to search the Internet for lyrics, but I can understand how others hate them as they are on the annoying side, and it's difficult to make them look appealing, however I believe Justice have tried their best with them, making comical animations that fit in with the words, which is quite risky, but actually works.

Overall a great song, a shocking video, and the most amazing t-shirts I have ever seen, my favourite has to be the zips when they zip up the t-shirt, that just makes me laugh and confused at the same time. I'm dropping a star off purely because it has very little link with the video, but that really is the only reason.

Double Take - Hot Problems

I have officially never heard this song ever, one of the people from uni played this song and claimed it as the worst song ever, and yes it is pretty dreadful, but also it's annoyingly catchy too, just like Rebecca Black's "Friday". Double Take are a two piece group consisting of Drew Garrett and Lauren Wiley. They have released 3 singles thus far, announcing that they are not very good singers, and would like to become song writers. "Hot Problems" was written by the duo and failed to chart anywhere, however somehow they managed to release two more singles, will they release more? We'll have to wait and see.

This music video is a pure performance piece, which all takes place in the back of a limousine, for some unknown reason. The lip-syncing isn't that great either, and they definitely could've done a lot more with this video, it's not even that relatable to the song.

A narrative would've worked a lot better, and there is even scenes where they show the city in which they are driving around, again it doesn't fit in. The only thing I like about this video is that Old Bailey Productions has written in the description of the YouTube video: "Old Bailey Productions did not create any of the audio or lyrics for this video." However they must have been a part of the video, and the video is just as bad, clearly they're embarrassed about the song, maybe it was their way to try and make a fortune, clearly it failed.

Overall an annoyingly catchy song with a music video that is totally out of place. However there are worst videos out there, and this is more of a safe easy video hence why I haven't chosen the lowest rating. The 1* music videos can be found on this blog, if you look hard enough!

PSY - Gangnam Style

PSY has quickly became extremely well known and it's all to do with this video. His real name is Park Jae-Sang and he is from South Korea. It is the first time he has appeared on this blog and I so hope this isn't the last as he has made me laugh lots with this music video. It is also the first K-Pop song to appear on this blog too. "Gangnam Style" was written by Yoo Gun-Hyung and PSY, it's so catchy you can't help but sing a long, but the video always cracks a smile on people's faces. He also taught Britney Spears and Ellen DeGeneres how to do the Gangnam Style (check out the video below). This song has charted all over the world, and even managed to get to number one in South Korea, Finland and Denmark, it just missed out on getting to that top spot in Belgium. It is also climbing high in the UK Chart, it is currently number one on the iTunes Chart, but he has stiff competition, but can he score his first ever UK number one?

This music video is a fist full of laughs, it's performance based with elements of a narrative hidden between. There are some quite awkward moments, but it suits K-Pop. It's a whole different genre to certain countries, and PSY has managed to show the world what it's all about I would definitely call him the leader of this type of music, however will he be a one-hit wonder? I so hope not.

There are some really surprising scenes such as the elevator, however I usually try to ignore that bit, but I really do like the big choreographed section where they are all dancing together, and then that dance battle is amazing too, I can't help but chant "go PSY, go PSY".

The music video has quite a few special effects too, there is an explosion at one point, and there's so much going on that I definitely can't comment on it all. For those of you who are wondering what the sauna bit is, I'm not sure either, but PSY is straight, he has a wife and 2 twin daughters.

Celebrities are commonly found in K-Pop music videos, and there is quite a few of them, never mind how minor a celebrity they are. There is 4minute member Hyuna, BIGBANG members Daesung and Seungri, Hwang Min-woo (from Korea's Got Talent), Yoo Jae-suk and No Hongchul.

The video was only released for fans, however the fans were the ones who managed to share this song and video with the world, creating a "snowball effect".

Overall, this song is amazing and should get the number one spot this Sunday on the UK Chart, as for the accompanying music video, it's groovy, different and has got the whole world giggling, not only that but it has also introduced a lot of people who had never heard of K-Pop top a whole different genre. There are surprising scenes, but what PSY has managed to achieve in such a small space of time has definitely made up for it, clearly there is no other rating for this music video!

Justice Vs. Simian - We Are Your Friends

Justice is a 2 piece band who seem to have released amazing songs but we are only slowly realising how great they are currently. The duo consists of Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay. They sung the very popular song "D.A.N.C.E." which also samples Britney Spears Featuring Madonna's "Me Against The Music". Again it's their first time on this blog (it's been like that all week so far, how weird is that?). But I'm sure their new releases (whenever they are) will definitely start to chart high, and I cannot wait for their new music. The song also features Simian, before today I had never heard of who that is, however after some research I find out that they were a four-piece rock band consisting of Simon William Lord, James Ellis Ford, Alex MacNaghten and James Anthony Shaw, surprisingly they have split up which is such a shame, however they also won best video award at the MTV European Video Awards 2006, which caused conflict as Kanye West believed he deserved the award more (What is it with Kanye West? Always getting into arguments at award ceremonies).

"We Are Your Friends" is definitely one of my favourite songs at the minute, purely because I've moved into uni and made loads of friends, I'm forever going to think of them whenever I hear this song! The song charted at number 20 in the UK chart, but clearly it was ahead of it's time. It always makes me feel good, and the lyrics are so easy to remember you can't help but sing-a-long to them.

Now was the video worthy of that MTV video award? In my opinion: YES YES and more YES! I watched it for the first time tonight and I was sooooo shocked, but I also got quite worried right at the start as I wasn't quite sure what these words actually meant: "WARNING the following video features stunts performed by professionals under very strict control. We insist that neither you or anyone else attempt to recreate or perform anything you have seen" which sounds quite cynical and violent, but the violence doesn't come in at all. What they are in fact talking about is being hungover from the night before, since that's not very nice either.

The music video is definitely a narrative based music video, it also looks quite low-budget, which just makes it so much better as it is the exact look and feel that this sort of video needs, it kind of reminds me of the start of Ke$ha's "TiK ToK".

There's a lot to like about this video, if anyone of my friends did any of this, I'd wake up in hysterics. I'd love a cat being thrown at me while being in a drunken sleep, it would be so amazing, or everything piled on top of me while sitting in a chair, imagine the laughs they all had constructing this brilliant idea.

Overall a very catchy song that has just started to be listened to more often, as for the music video, well what can I say? It is much more worthy of additional awards, I really don't think I can safely say that there is a better low-budget music video around! To be totally honest, it actually beats most high-budgeted videos. Whatever Kanye West was on about, he clearly hasn't watched it yet!

Fall Out Boy - Sugar, We're Going Down

Fall Out Boy has never made my blog before, I can actually imagine all your shocked faces! They were introduced to me by Tink09 and Miss Moirae, who couldn't believe I had never heard of them (at the time). They're currently on a hiatus due to the band wanting to explore different musical projects that they couldn't do with Fall Out Boy. The band consisted of Patrick Stump, Pete Wentz, Andy Hurley and Joe Trohman. Will they get back together? Who knows...? But one thing is for sure, their music will never stop being liked and listened to.

"Sugar We're Going Down" was written by Pete Wentz and Patrick Stump.  It charted at number 8 in both the UK and US charts, which is surprisingly high, due to the genre of the song, however it does beg to question whether this music video helped with the sales.

The music video is both narrative and performance, which always makes a good music video, And the fact that there is a strong message about bullying and how people react to it and the reasons why bullying goes on.

The band performing is hilarious to watch, you have Patrick Stump being pretty serious, and you know that he believes in the song, then you have Pete Wentz doing stupid stuff that always makes me laugh, I just can't help it.

The ending for the storyline is surprising, although it does give a reason to why the father is so against them getting together. But this is what confuses me, as it's a bit like Shrek 2 and I have never understood why they have a vendetta against a certain someone because they are similar, maybe it's because they want better for their daughter, but I still don't think it's a good enough reason.

Overall a great song that charted surprisingly high, the music video has everything we need and more, I just can't help feeling sorry for the guy with the antlers, and then laughing lots at Pete Wentz, I just can't win can I? Anyhow this is a perfect music video so how could I not give it this rating?

LMFAO Featuring Lil Jon - Shots

LMFAO has finally made my blog, this is the first time I have reviewed one of their music videos, I very much doubt it will be one of the last. They are a 2 piece band who go by the names of Redfoo (Stefan Gordy) and SkyBlu (Skyler Gordy). This song was played a lot last night and since then it has been stuck in my head. The song features Lil Jon, real name Jonathan Smith. Both these artists have recently become well known, and this song in particular should be released in the UK, as they have been playing it a lot, and I'm sure it would definitely chart.

"Shots" was written by Jonathan Smith, Skyler Gordy, Stefan Gordy and Eric Delatorre. It's extremely catchy and you definitely can't help but sing a long to it (just like I am doing just right now), it has never had a proper release in the UK, although there is definitely a lot of hype around it and I can guarantee you'll definitely hear it sometime during a week.

This music video is definitely imaginative, and I can't help but laugh at some of the suggested imitations that is going on. However there isn't much of a storyline leaving us a little disappointed, although you can not help but laugh at LMFAO.

I like how they have used the wide range of people, as when you do stay at a hotel there is usually a lot of different people and I can't help but reference it as they could've have gotten away with just young people, but that isn't the case here.

My favourite part of this video has to be when the words "Later That Night..." comes up and you do expect something surprising, but their only clubbing and you're definitely like "few!".

Overall a great catchy song that gets everyone singing a long to. It's music video, on the surface, looks boring and simple, however when looking a lot more closely you realise that a lot of thought has definitely gone into this video and you can't help but appreciate all they have managed to do. So taking everything into consideration I believe this rating definitely goes with this video!
